I did not know this was a thing (but I admittedly don't trust others so much and therefore have never participated in anything that would involve sending a wolf I'd like back into the aether…). That being said, were the feature implemented, I do like the idea of having further lore added to a wolf. I'd probably use it and incorporate the traveler's story into my pack somehow.

I love it! It would really encourage people to start sending travelers again. Maybe still allow other roles? So the Traveler could be some kind of dummy setting, but not really a "role". It'll be good for the lore

I love the idea, my only feedback is that travelers should be able to be assigned other roles, both for lore reasons and so that they're not just dead weight for the host. Maybe it could be optional, I've seen people who don't allow their travelers to have roles, but those are very few and far between.

I can see the value if having a role or being able to breed for lore and stats, but can also imagine that may cause an issue with the code for the recall option? If the wolf were nested or in a hunting party it may make recall problematic?

I used to host and have traveling wolves and I loved it. Seeing your wolf coming back after months of traveling with decors and stories in their bio was absolutely amazing.

I've always being aware of the risks of having my travelers away, and I was okay with losing them (I even came out with possible lore for each bad ending), but it was still sad and somehow infuriating when I heard of travelers chased or robbed of their decors. Especially because I often went out of my way to put custom decors on them, as a surprise for the owner.

So I took a hiatus from both hosting and traveling, a bit out of getting a new job (so I'm a bit busier IRL) and also because I was tired of hearing bad things about travelers.

I think your suggestions for an official traveling wolves mechanic sounds great. If it was implemented, I would be happy to go back to hosting travelers.

My only suggestion is to limit the number of travelers a player can have, maybe to only one or two at a time. I don't wanna see people trying to get advantage of the mechanic to just have other players raising and feeding all of their wolves, and just have an easy way to collect decors in bulk without maybe ever hosting a traveler themselves.

I hope to see this implemented as soon as possible! I miss having travelers visiting my pack!

As someone that has hosted travelers in the past, I love the regulations! The worry about not having the 'honor system' actually honored has kept me from making my own travelers, though if we were to get some ways to help guarantee these things I would absolutely join in again.

My only issue though is I remember having the hardest time getting travelers to move onto their next home since not many people were willing to take them in. Is there maybe something we could do about this? I have no ideas but it was definitely a grievance that I had with the thing.

Thanks for making a post about this and being willing to implement it into the actual game!

I honestly hate that. Might quit wolvden all
Together if that happens. People need to be responsible for their wolves right? Its so stupid tht your babying players who want to risk sending a wolf out.
