Feedback Request: Traveling Wolves

eh, speaking personally, needing to have a discussion with every individual host sounds like too much of a hassle. If that were implemented I'd just turn breeding off.

I'm still not seeing how stripping travelers of their decor and chasing/keeping them isn't okay, but taking the pups that someone else spent the resources to breed is okay. They both have to do with someone else keeping YOUR stuff without your permission, under the excuse that they 'own' it, not you.

Like, am I essentially alone in seeing how that situation can be abused? Why replace one mod-boxxed issue with another mod-boxxed issue? The reason so many of us don't partake in traveling wolves is because they aren't safe as they currently are, so now we should allow breeding that is equally unsafe? 'You should've considered the potential risk' is exactly what everyone had an outcry about! I'm worried people will be told they're SOL on this in the future, just like they're being told now when someone keeps their traveler. Breeding shouldn't be a thing if it means replacing a problem with a problem.

This is the last time I'm going to say this because I'm repeating myself like crazy by now. I'm just trying to be the devil's advocate as it's a pretty clear loophole in my opinion lol.

What about illnesses?
Like say a travelling wolf enters a sick den and gets a disease or something?

This sounds fantastic! I am apart of the traveling community and I believe this would be exceptionally helpful for all travelling wolf owners. We would all be grateful to have this feature even without total moderator supervision as this would help solve most prominent problems for owners and hosts alike. The recall I expect will be especially appreciated. Thank you for your work!
I agree breeding could be a toggible option, but besides that I think this is a good base idea for the feature.

I agree with people about disallowing breeding for travelling wolves; I see many complications that can arise from that, and it could also be abused for bypassing studding slots/limits. It'd be best if the wolf gave notification for owner, "This wolf is in heat!" the rollover it came into heat in new pack, so owner can recall it back to breed if they wanted to.

I think this feature would be neat, but I also think it's unnecessary.

In every other game I've played where players lend each other items (whether it's for achievements or lore purposes or whatever) it's the responsibility of the individual lending the item to vet the person they're lending it to.

A lot of the issues with travelling wolves could be solved by only lending them to people you trust, or by asking for a massive amount of collateral before you send over your wolf.

I was never a huge fan of the traveling lions I would get sent on Lioden. At first I'd just send them back and warn the owner not to send them again. I had a warning on my profile that travelers would be chased if sent to me, because I didn't ask to participate, and I wasn't going to take time out of my day to keep sending lions back to the sender or to the original owner.

I only ever chased one lion because the person, despite the warning being at the top of my profile, sent me a lion anyway. Naturally they were angry, so I sent then a screenshot of the warning that was at the top of my profile, in big bold visible letters. I think the game is fun for other people who wanted to participate, but not so fun when you're not interested and people impose their lions or wolves on you and expect you to give them decor, or add to their bio.

Thanks for making the traveling wolf game safer for the people who want to play, hopefully you'll add a feature or something for people like me who don't want random wolves sent to them, one that'll allow normal trades to go through, but prevent traveling wolves.

@Altighnari

I am not sure how liodens travellers work, but you shouldn't be getting random travelling wolves sent to you here, especially because most of the travelling is done through the forum, and nobody sends their travellers in a random system, not to mention they would be unable to send them to you via gifting/trading because you could just decline the offer before it ever reaches your den page. A common problem we've had and what we want to avoid, is not knowing who/where our travellers are going to, so this feature would also help. If you don't want to participate, you by no means have to! No one would be able to force a traveller onto you.

@InukGraywolf one person in a shared Discord has been cursing that people keep trying to send him Travelling Wolves even when he declines the gifts, again and again.

I very much would like a way to decidedly opt out, personally. I don't mind the game, I just don't want to take part.
