The orange wolf spluttered in confusion, but ended up laughing along. "Everyone knows you like Phoenix," she said with a teasing grin, turning to the lead hunter eagerly. "Yea, I'm ready!" Lantern Lantern nodded yet again, giggling at their antics. Shaking out her fur, she faced Phoenix, eager and energetic. |

Nix got a bit flustered about the mention of Phoenix. He rolled his eyes and shook his fur. He looked back at the hunting team before they left, "Bring me some food! I am starving!" He pinned his ears. He laid down on some soft grass and some rocks around him. Phoenix Phoenix looked at Lantern, "Someone is ready." He could see the excitement on Lanerns face. He got up and headed towards the meadows. |

The fire-colored wolf grinned. "I've been working with herbs all day, of course I want to get out and exercise!" She laughed, bounding through the meadow next to Phoenix. Pumpkin Pumpkin shook out her long fur again, bumping Sunny's side as she raced after the others. |

Phoenix looked at Lantern as she was talking. "Of course! Forging is always hard work!" He giggled a bit, until he saw a bull elk. He slowed down, it look old and weak. A perfect prey for a pack of hungry wolves. |

The small wolf skidded to a stop, admiring the huge, slow creature. "That would feed our whole pack for days," she whispered, marveling. Lantern Lantern let out a small whisper of agreement. "What's our plan, leader?" She quietly asked Phoenix. |

"Lantern, take the right. Pumpkin, you go to the left." Phoenix responded very quietly, Phoenix was obviously the stalker. He followed the elk around until he ran after it. The elk looked up and bolted the other direction. |

As the bull ran towards her in fear, Pumpkin leapt out of her hiding spot, attaching herself to its head in a moment of panic. The bull let out a bellow of surprise, knocking her off and running the other way. Pumpkin lay on the ground for a moment, dazed. She coughed. "What was I thinking?!" She wondered out loud as she watched the bull run towards Lantern. Lantern Clawing at the bull elk's face, Lantern forced it to the ground and bit deep into its neck, thrashing about to avoid the kicking legs. She hung on for dear life as she let out a muffled yell, asking the others to come help. "Sunny! Phoenix!" She cried out, managing to pin down one leg. |

"Don't be surprised if you get jumped by a fox on a revenge quest next time you're out there. You made quite the mess." He spoke matter-of-factly. "You need to be more subtle. But hey good job me thinks. I'll make this a pelt for the den." He picked up the fox carcass and began lazily walking towards his usual spot under a dead tree with long moss covering the entrance. |

The old scout stiffened a bit at being instructed like an apprentice, but nodded regardless. "I will keep that in mind," he said gravely. Pearl Pear blinked at the older wolf. "So, do you think I'm ready for my evaluation?" She tried asking again, padding to him. |

"Aye, I suppose so. A little thing you are but hopefully you won't break them legs of yours running after some elk." He sat down in front of Pearl and scratched his neck. The winter fur was still stuck on places, making him look rather rough. "Are ya excited for that evaluation? Been a hot minute since I've been through it." |
