The adolescent glanced back at the others, then back at Poltergeist. Her ears and tail drooped. "I… I'm really nervous," she finally admitted. "I know I can pass, but… mother wants more than that. She wants me to come excel at everything, and I don't know if I can live up to her expectations. Or uncle Hoarfrost's either." She shook her long mane, embarrassed to have voiced her fears. "B-but I'm sure it'll be fine," she said as she put her mother's signature serene and solemn look on her face, standing straight and straightening her ears. |

"Your mum's a piece of work sometimes, but this ain't about her. Nor your uncle." He glanced towards Hoarfrost. "Are ya supporting her on this, mister? You won't contribute to the pressure of succeeding, right? She's got the spirit for this." He looked back to Pearl, putting a paw on her head and ruffling the fur between her ears. "You've got this." |

Pearl blinked, smiling a little as Poltergeist ruffled her long fur. "Thank you," she said, politely bowing to the older wolf. Hoarfrost The scout stuck his head out of the cave. "She'll do fine," he growled. "My sister is strict, but she wants the best for her. And Pearl, we'll love you regardless, and you'll do great." He struggled a bit with the last part, not very used to being an affectionate uncle. |

"Do ya need me to have a word with mom?" He asked Pearl as he took back his paw and scratched the right side of his neck, fur flying out. "Me mom added a ton of unnecessary pressure back in my day so I get how ya feel. It'll be tough for sure but you're strong. Probably stronger than me, but I'm faster." He lifted his snout jokingly to look pompous and prideful. |

Pearl smiled shyly, shaking her head. "I… It's okay," she said with a similar tilt of her head. "Thank you again for the… advice." Her grey mane whipped around her as a sudden cold breeze rushed through the mountaintop. She brushed the fur out of her face, bowing low and scampering back as her mother called. Icicle The white wolf looked down at her daughter disdainfully. "Well, look at your beautiful fur. It's a mess! What have you done with it?" She said, sounding more bored than curious. Pearl "Sorry," Pearl mumbled as her mother began to groom her mane. Finally finishing, Icicle patted her daughter and pushed her into an upright position, examining her. Pearl lifted her chin and pulled her tail around her in a straight, soldier's position. Icicle Icicle watched her daughter. "Good, good." She patted her daughter's long fur once again, nodding at her. "You may go get food now." |

"Your sister needs a reality check. Were you two raised to be so uptight and snotty by your parents or something? That pup needs support, not whatever Icicle is doing." He spoke to Hoarfrost with annoyance. "I'll get the fox pelt ready so it can be added to the den. Or it can be put on the edge of the territory as a warning. I don't know. Something." Poltergeist huffed as he sat down again, tail thumping on the ground. |

Hoarfrost watched disdainfully as Poltergeist talked, without giving him even a space to get in a word. Shaking out his mane, he sighed as the wolf left, approaching Icicle and sitting down next to her. "You don't need to keep stressing about Pearl," he said evenly as his niece raced off to get something to eat. Watching her devour an arctic hare, he let out a small huff. "She's going to do fine, unless you keep putting pressure on her." Icicle The she-wolf scrunched up her muzzle, watching her daughter. "I know," Icicle finally sighed, letting her uptight posture slip. Her lips that had been pressed tightly together in a thin line opened, and she began to talk. "Pearl's my only daughter, and I want her to succeed. I know she can succeed." She glanced down at her feet. "I want her to become the next lead hunter," she admitted. "She would be amazing. She is amazing. I want her to make her father proud." Hoarfrost The scout blinked in surprise. Icicle almost never talked about Pearl's father, a brave hunter that had fallen into the river and died of hypothermia while Icicle was still pregnant. Hoarfrost's sister had mourned for weeks— and something changed about her. She became more strict with the hunting parties, more tight and serious. She barely talked, even now, except to her brother and daughter. Her words were sparse and cutting. Hoarfrost nodded gently, patting her a bit awkwardly. The Water Pack wolves didn't usually offer much physical affection. |

He settled on a sunny spot and rolled in the dirt, dust and fur flying up in the air. Maybe he needed a proper bath at some point but dust and snow were working just fine. He had decided to leave the strict mother situation be for now but did glance at the siblings every now and then. |

Fire PackApollo Apollo could feel the cold wind blow, he howled to have a meeting with his pack members. Grace Grace rushed and was the first one to reach there, she cleaned the ground with her tail then sat down. Alpha Alpha trotted out of Sun's den I think it is the perfect time to have the pups' first pack meeting. She thought then padded towards her den "Hello pups! Come outside, I want to show you something!" She said to the pups then started leading them towards the alpha's rock Warrior Warrior wagged his tail excitedly "Do you know what is it?" He whispered to Boss Boss Boss rolled his eyes "I hope it's anything except flowers." He growled Moon As they all reached there, Moon sat down "You all should behave properly here! This is a pack meeting. In a pack meeting we discuss about the things happening in our territory, sit beside me." She instructed. |
