Finally managing to lodge her claws into the beast's neck, Lantern ripped a hole into it. Sure that it was dead, she staggered away, and to her surprise, the bull elk did the same, tottering away, the huge gash on its neck bleeding heavily. Realizing that it was about to die, the elk turned to Phoenix with a loud bellow, charging with its head low and a stumble in its step. |

The large wolf bowed, not an inch too low, and raised his head again. "Atila and Alaska will be missing this meeting," he reported. "They've gone out, presumably to hunt or scout." Glancing at Moon, he bowed again, a very small tilt of his head. Waiting for Apollo to call on the others, Sun decided not to give his report just yet. |

Apollo nodded "It's shameful that our beta can't attend this meeting." He stopped for a while then spoke again "So, as we all know that summer will end soon, I want to tell you all that it might end in a week or so. I can sense cold air already, but I don't want to discuss about autumn! We're here to discuss about winters, this is the time we start preparing our pack for the harsh season. Everyone will try to hunt as often as they can, two hunting parties will be sent together. Sun, you'll lead one of them and the other will be led by anyone you choose." He stopped to take a breath "I'll also help in hunting, you'll decide what I have to do. You can take Lark and Moon too. We'll bury the food which we decide to store." He glanced at Alibi "Alibi, you'll try to find as many herbs you can, you'll also hunt while you're looking for herbs because we need as much help we can get. And no I didn't forget, the meeting which is held always at full moon at the four-rocks (four trees XD) will be held soon." He looked at everyone "Pack dismissed! If you want to ask something, ask it after everyone has left." |

Phoenix looks at the elk who was about to charge him. The elk bull bolted towards him, he ran away and turned back to get a grip on the elk's back. His claws sank into the skin of the elk, soon the elk collapsed to the ground. "Food! Not so hard..." He said with heavy breaths. He began to eat the meat that was inside the big animal. |

She quickly knocked her packmate out of the bull's way, which put her in its path instead. She took the hit, which sent her flying into a tree trunk. Sunny's head hit the tree and knocks her unconscious. Tempest They had watched the patrol leave and then settled down to wait for them to come back. |

Lantern panted heavily, glancing at Sunny in alarm. "Let's take the carcass back to camp before eating it," she told Phoenix. "Alpha wanted some, too." She padded over to Sunny, nosing her. "Ah, great. More injuries," Lantern grumbled. Pumpkin The scout looked down in shame. "Sorry about… it was a bit dumb," she mumbled, helping Lantern with Sunny. She poked the Beta's face. "You were a bit dumb, too," she told the unconscious wolf affectionately. "I think Phoenix could have handled that. He jumped away in time too." |

"Yeah good idea! I don't want Nix biting my tail off!" He agreed with Lantern while also looking at her. Phoenix looked at the others, "What exactly happened here?" He looked quite confused about why Sunny was unconscious. He sat down, waiting for an answer. |

Before Lantern could explain, Pumpkin leapt in. "She tried to be all heroic and take a hit for you," she said with a small laugh, having been assured by Lantern that she'd be okay. "Got knocked unconscious." |
