Atila The brown wolf coughed, looking up at the sky. "Anyway—" she started, when suddenly, she yelped in surprise, clapping her paw over Alaska's mouth, as well as her own. "B-bear," she whispered, her eyes wide. "Grizzly. It has cubs. Oh, no. No, no no no no." She stared at Alaska in fear. "We're gonna die," she hissed, terrified. She began to back away, pulling Alaska with her, when suddenly, she pulled her companion a bit too hard— and she stumbled back against her. The bear's head whipped around. Seeing two wolves, two potential risks to the safety of her cubs, she roared at them, her eyes narrowed and angry. "Run!" Atila yelled, shoving Alaska away. The bear charged. |

After spending a while dragging the dead doe back to camp, Lark made his way through the entrance. He continued for a bit before depositing the carcass and looking around. Well, there didn't seem to be any arguments or controversies going on between the others, so that seemed to be a good sign and a welcome break from before. In fact there didn't really seem to be anyone at the moment, which was slightly surprising. Padding along idly for a while, he eventually settled down by the entrance of the camp under the shade of a large tree. [[YES I KNOW THIS IS AWKWARDLY WRITTEN ]] |

He walked into the camp. His pelt had now grey hair and started to fade. |

Finally finding a patch of carrion flower, Lantern began gathering the green leaves and shoving them into her bag. She stopped as she spotted a lone flower, picked and lying on the ground. Lantern tilted her head. Perhaps someone had left this for her. She glanced up at the sky. How nice of them, whoever they were. She picked it up in her mouth and returned to Blossom Pack territory, sitting down in her den and poking the drying herbs on her rack. She smiled at Sunny, who seemed to be sleeping soundly. |

The scout had been walking into the herbalist's den for a small scratch she'd got while patrolling, when she heard an ear-piercing howl in the distance. Pumpkin jumped up and stared at Lantern, her eyes wide. "Is there someone in our territory?" She yelped, getting up and bounding after the sound. Lantern Lantern raced after Pumpkin, eventually finding her near a wolf, laying on the ground. It was Lake, her body mangled and twisted, blood dripping from huge tears in her flesh. Lantern could see bone showing through the skin, and she gasped in shock. Pumpkin "I think she's dead," Pumpkin murmured mournfully, gagging a bit as she looked away from the heavily torn body. Lantern Approaching the wolf, Lantern lowered her head, trying to find any sense of life. "I think she's unconscious… but…" she grimaced. "There's no way she can survive with wounds like this." Already she could hear her shallow breathing grow ever emptier. "I… I don't know if I can do anything. We can't take her back to camp— she wouldn't survive the journey. But… I don't have anything that could help." She sat down next to Lake, watching her intently. "When… if she dies, I'll stay here and bury the body," Lantern said solemnly. "It would be disgraceful for her body to be taken by predators." |
