Finch looked at Tempest as he finished up, obviously pleased with himself. "Thank you! I appreciate your wisdom." They obviously had a long way to go until the had a decent camp, but it was already starting to feel cozy. "I really like the thought of a clan. Er, sorry, I know you have some memories that might disagree. I like the idea of us working together." He walked around then, feeling out the space gauging how much more supplies they'd need to house four cats. Even if they didn't finish before nightfall, they'd have a small nest, some wind cover, and each other's body heat. - Sunrise watched Storm work quickly and effectively. She wondered what the larger cat's life was like before this. It didn't seem like she was as eager as Finch or had the connection to clans like Tempest. At least they could be alike in this sort of grey area they found themselves in. "I'm heading back," She said awkwardly, not nearly friendly or knowledgeable enough about Tempest to say any more or any less. Sunrise tucked her own moss pile under her chin and in her mouth, bringing it back to the bracken den with her. |

Finch & Sunrise Sunrise dropped her moss within the den cover, spreading it around evenly and packing the tufts into little nests. She'd grab one by Finch, certainly. One maybe where she could slink out an unfinished back entrance if they suddenly didn't feel like having a divine truce. Her scarred muzzle was shut tight as she worked. She checked on Finch. He turned to her briefly and gave her a look that she interpreted as, are you doing ok? Sunrise merely flicked her tail and went back to work. |

She nods. "Of course!" Her smile grows a bit bigger. "A clan.. Y'know, a new clan wouldn't be the worst idea ever." She murmurs, thoughtfully. "I haven't spent time around other cats in a long while. This is probably what I needed." She smiles at him again. "Now we should gather leaves or more moss to fill the holes with." She tells him, thinking back to that time with Hazelbrush. She smiles thoughtfully to herself. She looks to the entrance of the bracken den as she heard the stems rustling. She watched Sunrise and Storm enter caring balls of moss. |

"That sounds good!" Finch twitched his tail excitedly and headed out the entrance. The world had grown colder in the night. He felt the familiar rush of his heart- when he could see clearly in the dim light and prey made mistakes in darkness. They could finish up the den a little more, hunt, and get some sleep in their new home before the sun rose again. He padded off eagerly to collect leaves by the tree line. Sunrise padded over to Storm. She sat, not too close, in the larger cat's proximity and watched Finch go immediately back to work. "You got a little coyote in you?" Sunrise said dryly, cleaning her long fur. If Storm had howled at the moon, it wouldn't be the weirdest thing she had seen today. Her eyes looked in the direction of her barn as she worked. She wondered if these nests would be worth it. Would she miss the heat of the cows and the hay? Sunrise thought she might already. |

Sunrise paused her cleaning with a start. She hadn't suspected the other pokey cat of their new clan to be so candid with her. "I'm sorry…" Her voice trailed off as she thought to herself for a moment. How old was Storm? She was clearly an adult, but perhaps she hadn't been without her parents for too long. "If they're still around, it looks like we'll need more bodies. I'm sure they'd be welcome here by, at least, the other two."  Sunrise pointed her nose in the direction of her old barn. "I'm not sure who my father was. Probably some stray. My mother is back at the barn still, raising my half siblings of her most recent litter. If this whole thing doesn't work out, I'll just head back and maybe have a litter of my own in all the hay." |
