Sunrise thought to herself for a moment. "I'm sorry your parents were killed by clan cats. I'm sure that it's weird to be asked to be here now." "Don't be so hard on yourself. You've got it all wrong. I mean, if we're talking about not being social, I grew up surrounded by barn cats and family but I wouldn't trust any outsider under… normal conditions." She shifted her paws awkwardly. "A cat made of stars came down and asked us to work together. That's a good enough reason for trying to get along. I'm… I'm sorry I can be pokey too." |

She follows Finch out of the den and towards the treeline where there were fallen leaves on the ground. She thinks for a moment, trying to remember how they gathered the leaves to make the least amount of trips possible. She starts to pile leaves together and bundle them up to carefully take them back to the den. She looked over and sees Sunrise and Storm conversing. I wonder what they're talking about... She shrugs off the thought and drops the leaves next to the den. )(Sorry this took so long! XD I've been working on this reply for a while)( |

Finch & Sunrise "Sounds like you've lived a very interesting life." Sunrise stared at Storm. She couldn't imagine walking around with other predators. Her mother had pointed them out from a distance before as a warning, and she smelled fox on the barn hay sometimes when they broke in for a chicken. "Maybe it just means you were supposed to end up here. I can't imagine living through all of that. My life was so simple. I just had to catch rats in the barn." She ducked her head. "As much as I'd like to be here, that life still calls to me. It could be boring, but it was easy. Lazy. I didn't get the original dream to come here anyway," — Finch followed suit, carrying his own leaves back to the den. He was surprised Sunrise was making an effort to speak to someone besides him. She had always been stand-offish. If they hadn't met when they were younger, he knew they probably would have never been friendly. Trying to follow Tempest's lead, Finch stuck the leaves in the den. It was still clumsy on his end, but looked and smelled a whole lot better than sleeping in a trash can or an alleyway. "Hey," He turned to Tempest, "It looks like we're getting on a little bit out there. Want to see if they'd be up for a hunt? All four of us? I'm feeling a little hungry." |

She nods, finishing her end of the den. "Hunting sounds like a great idea!" She could feel her belly start to rumble at the mention of food. She heads over to Storm and Sunrise. "You guys wanna go hunting with us?" She asks, tilting her head questioningly. She hoped the dark forest wouldn't scare Sunrise. "I know of a good spot for mice," She offered, thinking that Finch and Sunrise would feel more comfortable hunting mice. |

Sunrise felt a small twinge of friendship for Storm in her heart. She liked talking to her! The barn cat was flattered. She rose as well, arching her back in a tall stretched that flared out the beans on her toes. "Sure!" Sunrise turned to Tempest, "I suppose it'll be good to learn out here. I used to catch mice all the time at my barn. My mother told me it was our job while we lived there." She had worked for the barn, and if she lingered, she would work for the forest. Finch was surprised and pleased at his old friend's willingness to try. She must have not had a bad time with Storm after all. He lifted his tail in a friendly question mark. "Okay, lead the way Tempest!" |
