If you accidentally posted something you did not want to post, or posted a reply to a topic entirely accidentally, there could be a "delete" button next to edit. Deleting a post would wipe all it's information from the forum and would not be viewable for anyone except moderators and admin, and the operator of the thread. However, some players may use this as an opportunity to mock other players, before deleting their posts before moderators arrive on the scene. The developers could counteract this by making all deleted posts visible to moderators except in a different colour, for example, the deleted posts could be red. |

I have so many forums/threads that I no longer have a use for and they're just sitting there. I also have a plethora of responses in threads that I would like to delete. Although, I think if someone comments on someone else's thread, the OP of the thread should be able to see deleted comments. Maybe there could be a toggle to view button for it? This way, if someone makes a comment about the OP that's negative, they can still see it, and thus then can go to the mods. Otherwise, the mods wouldn't know to check specific threads... If this makes any sense at all? |
