woah, reading this just now i'm realising how many different endings you could have!

i went with Lorcan to warn other wolves (he was crushing on my lead SO HARD my lead was so flattered lmaooo i couldn't break their gay little hearts even though it was kinda awkward since we're friends with Lorcan's mother-) and then split up with Sirona to go smash the herbs.
and man oh man i should've chosen differently!! :'D

the ending i got was... disappointing, to say the least. it felt unfinished and dissatisfying. it felt like it wasn't complete, after reading it i was left thinking "that's it?" and with so many questions. what about the earlier wolves from the Chaorainn pack, they just... never came back? what about this herb paste Sirona made, it was just... "sorta works, might work for you, keep trying to live your life, maybe bad things won't happen with it on you i guess". very unfulfilling. and in the end, we're just left with a dead elder and a crushed Sirona. we didn't even get to see Lorcan after this all went down cause Sirona wouldn't let him come along even though i advocated for him (he's a grown adult and she's treating him like a puppy, i understand why, but still).

i liked Sirona's whole moral dilemma-twist, having to choose between your pack and others. her speech was cool and is what i would've done too. i just wish it would've actually lead to something happening, in the end it didn't even matter since it was Quany who (temporarily?) stopped the Faelcu.
once again, my dissatisfation with this ending was that it felt uncomplete. heck, we don't even know if the Faelcu went away for good. it was more like "Quany self-sacrificed, Faelcu went along with it, i guess you'll be fine for some time now".

other than the last few chapters of the story, i LOVED the writing on this story! perhaps they ran out of time to flesh out all the endings completely or maybe i'm being too nitpicky. because the overall text was great in my opinion!

at least i got the absolutely GORGEOUS annwn base applicator, i'm super happy about that ahahaha

Honestly, the main reason I picked to go with Sirona is because I could tell she was planning something. (The base only somewhat affected the choice.) I figured she was going to try something as a last-ditch effort, so I went with her in hopes that she would be truthful with me about what she was planning and we could maybe enact it together. Nope. She just gave up right away because I was present, seems like.

We don't know each other well, but I thought she would have trusted me enough to at least tell me what was on her mind. Two minds working on an idea is better than one frazzled mind working on it alone. But then, characters not having the guts to stand up for themselves is a big thing in this chapter. So I'm not surprised she caved that easily. And of course she's upset, so maybe she's just too tired.

I'm glad I didn't get that Quany ending. That sounds even less satisfying than the one I got. We didn't get to see the reunion between the pack and Lowen/Conall, but at least we didn't lose anybody. I like the overall story, but the endings didn't pack a great punch imo. You either lose or extra lose. :') I'm glad the ending changed so drastically though, I didn't know it would deviate so much!

Also it seems that Lorcan stays behind no matter what? I was kind of hoping he could come with, he had a lot driving him and would probably stand up to the Faelcu lol. Though it's the question of whether he could hold that aggression in and use it wisely.

Do you mean the bit that rewards the new bases released this event? That's intended, the storyline so far ends when you receive the rewards.

My pack's culture is ruthlessly practical. My leads were just sitting there waiting for them to realize they'd have to sacrifice someone. Also amused by Quany calling Taak a pup on his last few days alive.
