Herbalism Mini Games

Herbalism Mini Games

Hello! This is a suggestion for a new mini-game, centered around Herbert and your herbalist. I have searched the suggestions posts, as well as the master post and have not found any similar to this so I apologize in advance if a similar idea is already listed somewhere else.

I had the idea for this game to be a three-in-one sort of game. You pick a difficulty, and play three rounds, each picked at random from the three available herbalist inspired mini-games. You could end up playing one of each mini game, or three of the same one all in a row. (An option to select the mini-game you want to play, rather than random selection could be possible too) SC rewards for successful completion would vary based on the difficulty you chose. 2 SC per each successful easy game , 5 Sc for successful moderate games, and 10 SC for successful hard ones. The maximum rewards you can win per day might cap at 50 SC. Although you can still play the games themselves as many times as you want throughout the day, just no rewards earned.

Ideally you would be playing as your current herbalist, with their headshot and name displayed on the top left corner of the page. (The image would default to your lead if your pack doesn't currently possess an herbalist) When you click on the base game tile, your taken to a background depicting Herberts den, and an option to select one of three difficulties. As for the playable mini games, here's some ideas I had.

Wolf Diagnosis: Your job in this mini game is to diagnose a sick wolf with the right illness so Herbert can cure them. I think some sort of dialogue from Herbert would also add to the immersion, such as: "This young one came to me earlier today, complaining of not feeling well. Why don't you give it a try and see what ails them."
The game will generate a random NBW to display, and based on the difficulty, shows the following:

Easy: Shows the NBW with a visible illness and one symptom. There will be a scrolling box to select the illness you guess. This stage would only have the 6 current sicknesses with accompanying art.
Moderate: You are given 2 symptoms. Sicknesses with visible symptoms are still included as possible ailments, but visual aids are no longer present on the wolf.
Hard: You are still given 2 symptoms at this stage, (unless the particular sickness only has one symptom) but with the added challenge of an additional question picked at random between the two. Either guessing how the illness can be contracted, or the effects the illness has on a wolf. Instead of dropdowns, these questions would give three, possibly 4?, tile options to choose from (two incorrect, and one correct)
I.E the sickness is Constipation. How can it be contracted? [Breeding] [Eating rotting food] [Exploring]
Or the effects of having Cystitis: [HP loss] [Unable to Breed] [Lessened Energy] [All of The Above]

Medicine Mixing: This mini game is centered around cures. This mini-game will have a big bowl in the center of the screen, showing a random cure, and you must do the following-
Easy: correctly name the shown cure. Either with tiles or a dropdown to choose from.
Moderate: correctly name the shown cure, and also identifying one specific herb in it. After naming the cure, images of all the current usable herbs will show up, and you have to drag and drop one of the required herbs used in that particular cure, into the bowl where the medicine is displayed.
Hard: You must correctly name the cure, and also correctly choose all the necessary herbs required to make it, as well as their amounts. I.E If the Cure is an Antidote Cure, you must drag and drop 3 chaparral into the stone bowl. Cure-For-All and rich healing salve possibly excluded
(Either images of the herbs themselves, or tiles with the herbs names would work)

The last mini-game is
Herb Identification: Similar to medicine mixing, you are shown a specific herb and must guess what it is.
Easy: Shows a random herb, and you must correctly guess the name
Moderate: Correctly name the herb, as well as a dropdown to pick one medicine the herb is used in.
Hard: Identify the herb, one medicine its used in, as well as one possible biome the herb can be found in. (Only the biomes that foraging can provide it in)
Coigreach herbs excluded

💠 I LOVE the idea of having a new game or multiple new ones focused on X or Y profession, it's immersive and interactive.

⚠️ However I feel like SC as reward a little blend as plenty of things give SC already, how about collectibles/ a book or catalog to fill up. Especially since the theme is herbalist. It's more work but it could either be the fun of collecting or it could create a whole new mechanic like growing plants with what you get in these missions. Cross breeding plants?  Really purely for collecting and not growing herbs! It would be plants. Etc a side hustle steming from that mini game. Could also be impacted by the inhabited territory. It would be huge and long to include in game but it would feel new.

Otherwise new decor maybe but since we have crafting we already have easy access-ish to a lot of decors. Anything but SC.

⚠️ Second point, I LOVE love love the settings presented but, if the game is strictly in game knowledge based it's simply too easy for ppl to Google the answer and always play on hard. Adding new knowledge to learn on the mini game itself mixed with the current knowledge could be cool. E.G.: "please prepare this plant for me" and you have to find how to do so as it's a new mechanic however to avoid repetition they'd have to add idk how many plants so maybe not the greatest example but I'm begging, no straight up knowledge.

❌ So overall I disagree with the idea BUT I'm fully into the setting, the profession and potentially a new type of reward but no knowledge only game as they become quite boring but it can be somewhat half half or incorporated within! Great point tho!
