His sire was not the leader of the pack, merely the breeding sire for any dam willing. Most assumed this was from a female lead, but the Bakugou pack was much different. Kendrick led the pack with fierce cunning and cold tactics. It was one of the few packs with few enemies still breathing. Kendrick himself was not the brute force behind all this as his frame did not allow it. Although of average size, his skin hung strangely on his half-corpse body. His spine grew out of his fur into large pikes, horns and antlers twisting out of his exposed skull, and strange boney hooks protruding from his wrists and ankles. His healthy genes shown in his thick mane and glossy fur, but the stench of his half-death was palpable. No matter how strong he remained he would sire no pups. This is where Roach steps in. The massive draconic-looking wolf was vicious to put it gently. The feline-marked wolf had traveled far and bore mutations from a strange swamp creature attack. He used this new massive size to his foe's disadvantage. It was a beast of a wolf, let alone a sire, and these genes now coursed through the pack's incoming generations. High expectations were on these litters from leader and sire, and any that couldn't keep up were left out. No use sparing food for those who won't survive. It was warm in the nursery while it lasted, but he just couldn't keep up. He was given the name Ingolf, a throwaway basic name for a pup that may or may not become worth the pack's time. With his mother constantly in and out of the nursery and mostly with thoughts elsewhere, he watched as his status in the pack dwindled until one frosty day he was left with a bear. When visiting the mountains, Mellina Sa picked him up and took him to his new two mothers. Although bearing monstrous fangs the pack took him in eagerly, seeing his potential. KendrickKendrick's Description Mischievous II Secretive II Misleading She had a litter of 3 healthy pups - their mewls filling the mother's heart with love. One pup, the only male, looked strikingly like the sire and leader. He took on Kendall's unique pelt pattern and distinct spots. So handsome and strong, just like his father! He was so hungry for his mother's warm milk and she was so proud of him - a warrior indeed. The pup was the strongest out of all three...at first. He got a wound from an unknown source which got infected, despite the herbalist's diligent research and attempts to healing - unfortunately, the healer just took on the role and was out of it's depth. The fever rose...wound oozed yellow, smelly discharge....eyes glazed over. The pup could feel his health slip away but did not understand. He just wondered why his mother could not look at him, and he was separated from his sisters. Soon his siblings surpassed him in strength and would get to his mother before him. On a hot summer day, he passed to the other side. He died and then was tossed away along with the other dead puppies, his corpse and theirs feeding the land around it. He had no use anymore besides being food for the gulls. As the hours passed the soft little flesh on his face was eaten and ripped away; he was underneath two other puppies so his body avoided the frenzied wrath of birds and vermin. "Kendrick..." What was that? "....Kendrick...." Why was he hearing this voice? Wasn't he supposed to be dead? At peace? The soul was a weird thing, especially for a young animal, and especially for a young one who was tossed away. It is not a smooth transition. Kendrick seemed to have one paw in and one out. Maybe he didn't really want to leave. To leave his pack. To leave his sisters.....his mother. /unfinished Kendrick's Appearance (excludes the custom content skull and throny crown)RoachDescription Much to his disdain, Kendall steps down as his pack's sire...he almost did not choose another to succeed him but he knew for his group to strive he had to pick a new male. One torrid day, he happened upon a stray wolf - it's scrawny visage from afar making Kendall smirk as he picked up his confident pace - this should be easy. But as he approached...he noticed the dark markings on the other male's face. He's seen these markings before... Markings like the ever elusive, intelligent (and irritating) mountain lion. For the past few months, wolves with fur patterns akin to felines started to be reported all over, though uncommon enough that you could go throughout your life without seeing one in person. He was mildly surprised when the other canine turned towards him and laughed, "If you think you can sneak up to me, you are mistaken." His accent was thick; it was obvious that he was from another distant land. With a wave of his paw, his stance was casual. That pissed Kendall off but he decided to keep his cool. He has not seen another foreign wolf in a few moons. Sensing his discomfort, the other wolf gave his own smirk. "I'm Roach, by the way. ~~~ Roach got a strange mutation from a swamp creature that attacked him. The horns, extra limbs and claws grew overtime. Found in glacier. . Applied fox base 9/27/22 .
