I'm sorry that I'm discussing my opinion on a discussion board. edit: also yes, I was wrong about befriending! Mutations are wiped once a wolf is chased, and since carriers are not a thing for pieds it won't show up. That's my mistake! I totally forgot that was a thing lol but still, you can very much breed for them, plenty of people are ok with multi-gen muties. |

My only point is they should always be only background/decor, never base or mutation exclusive to an increase in number of gold cones bought Should have just made the new mutation a flat gold cone price in the grove. |

I'm not complaining about spending real world money or the fact that you even have to spend any on this site, its that this new mutation is literally pay-walled. You must pay now or "miss out", and yes obviously after some time people should be able to find chased NBWs with this mutationoh wait! no you won't  they're wiped But do you seriously think the price will change or more specifically go down? This is about how ridiculous the price will influx because its based on who has real money now. The price for piebalds will only increase after Monday as then you can only breed them. And as stated before by Lisitsa, the app is going for double the price it's "actually" worth, for ~500GC!!!. I'd rather just put in the $100 to get two MoD for that GC. Yeah I would not consider that a trade... and speaking of "trades", I feel as people are confused about that. I asked who's trading their mutie app, and well there you go, people are willing to give not only GC but breeding items and base apps for a MoD app. But thats just people hoping someone who's got a MoD app is willing to bite. But I feel people mean trading bases, which is a great place to see rarity! Someone posted a link on page 4 or 5 of all the base apps in the item catalogue and personally I'd be a little sad if I got Clover instead of Badger... and I mean theres literally a percentage next to every base, and uhh tiers ??? theres rarity in a lot of things on this site, kinda what makes stuff like blue jay recipes more valuable then something like scattered sticks...I've put money into both Black Friday Sales and to be honest I'll probably get this one too still as this is the time I usually get all my GC for the year, or about lol but I love feeling as though I support the devs and I feel that many others are the same. But it's not like "this is the only time to give the devs money!" ??? The grove is open 24/7, 365 days a year... or basically. Theres territory slots, dynasty slots, lead and stud retirement, feed all - play all, guarana... what I'm saying is, we all support the devs all the time in our own ways. (yes the devs have bills and they're probably year round). You shouldn't make others feel as though they don't just because this genetic app, not just cosmetic as in it effects gameplay especially if your making GC off it, is pay-walled. If you able to make tons of GC so you can spend it on guarana so you can level your lead up and be on the leaderboards so everyone see its and wants to stud with you, oh and look you also have the super rare MoD on them so of course I'll want to stud, but oh your only accepting GC... "wining" in a lot of peoples books. Sorry not being rude here and yes yes everyone has there own goals but many align with others as well. But no "if you can't afford it, you don't have to buy it"... yeah more like I can't but no we should just be okay with the have and have nots, "don't worry, you'll get it eventually". Many of us are patience enough to wait I'm sure and yes not everyone is after it but this isn't nice little "special thank yous", its hey if you have money show it off!! Seriously my first thought when I saw the MoD app is "gotta go check the grove...uhh where are they??" Because I would seriously buy this app so many times over if I had the choice and I think a lot of people are like that. Why won't it be returning after the Black Friday Sale? It just seem predatory to a lot of us as it forces us to buy it NOW. Again I'd probably end up spending $50 on just MoD apps alone... and yeah its the holiday season so I think a lot of us are also thinking of other people rather then ourselves. Its hard to drop $50 on anything especially around this time, any adult feels that. But I'm done, people will feel how they feel. Not trying to offend or go after anyone here, sorry this got so heated! |

I'd like to add that WD is very generous with the events that allow everyone to get bases, decor, markings apps etc. Everyone on here has the ability to do the Lunar event every month (not to mention all the others) and if you get the max 125 per day should be able to buy one base and marking app a month for 12 months a year. If you save and sell a few of them if is possible for anyone to have several hundred GC sitting in their bank on Black Friday without having ever bought any to buy these mutie apps if you so desire. Getting these is not limited to only those that buy GC -they are the ones that initially get them as gifts for their purchase -but there are a lot in the tc right now that anyone can buy with GC they have earned from selling the apps from the events of past year - or even offering the apps themselves as many will take them in trade. Hopefully now that everyone knows to save their GC for Black Friday once a year event (and wait to buy it at that time as well) they will do so next time and can buy the new apps that are always available in the tc at this time from the ones who bought the GC to get them. Again I very much appreciate all the devs do for us here. |

Perhaps I'll pick up or breed a piebald pup in the future, but right now its not too important to me - I imagine piebald will become as common as melanistics and albinos soon enough.

 Tbh @Captain Hakob and @JuneJuniper summed up our issue perfectly. I still don't really get, why this MoD had to be introduced like this. If you check in item catalogue, there are - and were, before many players got this year's 50$+ bundles - hundreds of the previous Black Friday decors, so we can't say that there weren't hundreds of people as well who bought GC on previous sales. Looking at that, the active playerbase on WD is currently around 1800-2400, I don't think it's a bad rate, as I assume not all players bought only the 10$ bundle. And there were never ever a bad word about Black Friday decors as I remember. Okay, they are unique and they definitely feel premium, due to the methods you can gain them, but since they don't intervene gameplay, players who didn't buy GC don't feel left out. The decors don't create possible disadvantages, applicators do. If you look at the TC pricing it should be obvious that this item will bring a ton of money to it's owners, either in the form of studding fees or direct TC sale. And as @JuneJuniper has pointed it out, with a ton GC you can easily make a (maybe even leaderboard) wolf which will be favoured by many people as a stud, etc. This will result in bringing even more golds to someone who most likely didn't lack of funds befire either. I obviously don't mind players reaching their goals and getting rich in WD because it's such a great feeling when you get something that you grinded for  , but I wouldn't like to get a harder time on the site just because I can't afford buying  for as much money, (right before Christmas) that covers only a part of my expenses for a week.
