Lovelace slowed her pace "wraith it's ok we're alive and shouldn't you be sleeping? and I think we should tell solis about the threat, Astrid". lovelace sat down and looked around "anyways has anyone seen solis we have to tell him about the threat and hopefully he won't be upset about me wondering off".
Solis flicked his ear, hearing his name being called. He was currently exploring the cave. The tunnel, specifically. It was short, sadly, and just led to another room, but this room was quite interesting. It was larger, and small holes in the roof provided sunlight. It was still very dim, but It would work..if this became their den. other ledges could be hangout spots. He backed out of the cave, turning to the new wolfdogs with a frown. " Where the hell did you go, eh? " He grumbled and walked forward. " I heard my name being called, what do you need? " He said, glancing back at the cave. He wanted to go back in there, explore every square inch, and find all of it's secrets.
"Chill out Solis. We just thought you'd be one of the first who would want to hear about the creature we assume to be a threat. Astrid was looking around and making sure everyone was there. "Lovelace followed the scent of food and found a large carcass, which seemed to have been taken down by and even large beast. Its scent was strong and unusual. We didn't stay long in fear that it might have returned." They turned to Lovelace to see if she had anything to add.
Wraith was still worried but hunger had began to claw at his mind. "I'm star-vin-g." He whimpered and layed on his stomach. He put his tail over his face and muzzle, trying to drown out the grumbling noises his stomach were making. He was fidgeting and twitching in an odd way.
Wraith clumsily padded over to his large companion. "Me. I w-ill go wi-th you." He seemed to be pushing himself to speak normally. He looked around then up at Cannibal. "Tea-ch me fir-st." He still had no idea what hunting was or how to do it.
Astrid shook their head. "I will stay and make sure that nothing takes the shelter while others are away. Plus I'm wanting to explore the place a little more." They dipped their head to the others and slowly strolled off into the den.
"Will do. I guess it's just us, Wraith." He woofs softly as he dismisses Frost and begins to head off into the forest. "So... Since it's just two of us, we can only get the smaller prey."
Frost looks sad and he walks into the den and begins to clean the debris out.
Lovelace then stepped forward " since there is safety in numbers we might not have to worry about it atleast for now but it's best to keep an eye out just to keep everyone safe". She then sat down and looked down feeling guiltu"well I was following a scent and I ended up leaving to look for it. I know it was stupid of me to do so without knowing the territory but I was thinking about bringing food to everyone". She knew she should've told someone before walking off but she was too hungry to think about anything other than food. She then sighed "I won't be much use hunting because I stand out too much and I don't know how to hunt". She then walked away hoping to find something useful to do.
((Sorry, the thread went inactive for quite some time due to my disappearance. I will reply soon with another wolfdog and with my current one. ^^ Might be another day or two though as I have a lot going on irl.))
Astrid watched Lovelace leave. They felt bad for her but at the same time a little annoyed that she was still on that topic and blaming herself even though they were past it. They sighed deeply and turned to Solis. "So we stay and let the others go. But Cannibal and Wraith can't be the only ones going, they will need help since Wraith has no experience with hunting." He looked around at the remaining wolfdogs.
Wraith nodded up at Cannibal but had gone completely silent other than the soft sound of his breathing. He was thinking deeply about what he would want to catch for his first time. He was excited and the quick swishing of his tail revealed it.
Toxi had been injected with some kind of tranquilizer earlier. Now the affects were wearing off and she could open her eyes and move her head and paws slightly. Her head throbbed though so she choose to leave it against the ground. 'Where am I? How did I get here? Where are my brothers?' Still laying on the ground she glanced at her surroundings, it was slightly cold and the sky looked cloudy, as if it would rain at any moment. She struggled to stand then looked more closely at her surroundings. 'Woodlands? I was in the lab not long ago. What happened?' She felt slightly fearful and her fin-like ears pinned against her head. She could pick up the scent of more creatures but was too confused to even move at this point.
