Examples to think about: What things make it easy to read (dark vs light background, smaller font vs cleanliness, link effects/changes to make them stand out, etc.)? Is mobile friendliness a concern? Certain features (like hovering) that make it difficult or aren't even noticeable? Do you care if certain boxes (like the entire side bar) or information is removed? Etc. Or do you not care at all and have absolutely no preference how others show off their page? |

- Sharp edges and contrasted text for ease of reading - Dark colours (my eyes are garbage lmao) - Fixed backgrounds. Moving ones give me headaches if I stay on the page for too long - I don't care at all about hover features and actually find them charming :) especially changing cursors. - Mobile friendliness isn't much of an issue for me. - Removing sidebar information is something I like. It makes the page feel "cleaner" and less crowded. - I LOVE the Times New Roman font. It's my best friend! - Neon coloured decals/borders and a black background make for awesome contrast and helps my eyes :D - Fun things, like highlighting one's pings in chat. Dislikes - Excessive bright colours with a light background. Headaches >-> - Text that's near the shade of the background or doesn't contrast well. - Super rounded corners. Makes it hard for me to keep track of what I'm reading. - Bright animations or a lot of moving elements. - Non-fixed backgrounds. - Incomplete layouts. I use Stylus to use my own layout site-wide and when people don't have elements specified (such as a page background) my own overrides it and makes reading hard. In my own layouts I like sharp/crisp edges and lots of contrast :) |
