(hope this is the right place to put this on) Hi! I'm writing this rather flustered and in haste so excuse any typos/my ramblings. This is also a lowkey word vomit rant.

First off, as the owner I know I should have been more careful myself in watching over the mood/hunger levels of my traveler wolf but sigh I had too much faith/thought too good of others and assumed the other person would feed my boy before his hunger dropped to 0%. I remember noticing his hunger drop to 40% the other day but as I said, too much faith, and I forgot about it with the assumption the person wouldn't let it drop to 0% and they'd feed him.

But Nope 😭, as I RO'ed today (Feb 7th), I got the notification he had left his host pack so I went to reclaim him then realized he had none of his decor🧍‍♀️🥹

Is there even a remote chance of getting any of his decor back? 🥹🥹

I checked my hoard and none of the decor is there if it was returned to me once my boy was reclaimed.

I know this is my fault for not being more vigilant with my travelers. I will now adopt the helicopter parent style and reclaim my babies as soon as I see their levels drop below the baseline I drew. Which I actually see my 2nd traveler subjected to 🥹 BUT she's nursing pups so I can't recall her

Tbh, I'm rather devastated and annoyed to have lost ALL that decor because it was mostly if not almost all lunar event decor 🥹🥹🥹 so ow I worked hard to earn lunar tears to buy those decor

Also, if it was stated anywhere, my apologies for not seeing it, but I wasn't fully aware my traveler would lose all their decor if they left and was reclaimed back I would have been extra cautious or actually not used such decor but also I feel it's unfair?

I think it's unfair I have to reclaim (basically buy back with 100SC) my traveler wolf and lose all his decor but also I guess I can see that's part of the risks of having traveler wolves? I don't know, I still need to process these emotions right now despite how trivial this could be to others/how this is a game, my feeling of devastation/loss are real

Another thing, is there a thread or way to give warnings to others about certain hosts? A sort of "this is my experience with them hosting my traveler and it was bad, do not host with them" or is that some violation of guidelines to have.

I also doubt anyone would read/reply to this, like I said, this is just me venting really, but it would be appreciated if I could talk to/let it out with someone 🥹 Thanks

Travelers losing their decors after being chased/run away is being investigated as a bug. (bug report here)

I always managed to safely recall my travelers before they ran away (yes, I stalk them everyday), so I'm not sure if the unequipped decors get lost, or if they end up in the host's hoard. Have you tried PM them to ask if the decors were returned to them? Maybe they can give them back to you and you can put them back on your traveler.


This bug is something that really concern me when it comes to my travelers, but for now we can only keep our eyes open and be a helicopter parent, as you said.
And no, warning other players about bad hosts is considered "blacklisting" them, and it's not accepted by the site's rule. You can have your own blacklist, but you can't share it.
If it can help, in my experience having a traveler move through the Giveaway Chat is riskier than use a chatter thread, where there are people who are more likely to take traveling wolves seriously.

Thank you so much for your reply! I feel better learning that it may just be a bug and there is some chance to get back his decor. I've also sent the host a message asking if the decor went to their hoard instead just in case and am waiting for a reply back.

Lol I don't stalk my travelers daily but after this incident, I definitely will be. I'll be the unbearable helicopter parent always checking on you.

As for creating my personal blacklist, would it be allowed to hide a list of these hosts I've had a negative experience with within a spoiler in my personal traveler thread? Or would that still be counted as sharing a blacklist? Essentially, I'd have to note down this blacklist offsite.

And thank you for the advice about using a chatter thread than the GA chat. I'll be doing that from now on

I'm afraid putting your unwanted hosts under spoiler would still count as blacklisting, because people could still see them if they look at your thread and opened the spoiler.
Just write them down offsite and be on the lookout when your traveler moves to a new pack.

I've often seen players write down in their traveler bio to make sure the traveler is passed only to healthy dens. It doesn't guarantee that they will always land in good hands, but maybe it can push hosts to be a bit more careful when swapping travelers.

This is the thread I use to swap travelers. It's a dedicated thread and had been going on for a long time, so most travelers lovers use it!

Got it! Excuse the late response and for reading what ended up being another rant of a reply oops but thank you again!

If you're curious, there is an update on my boy's decor. So the person sent almost all the decor back a couple days ago so I felt much relief now but I say almost all because on that day I got it back, I had realized one decor was missing. Thankfully I got it back right away. But now today, I realize one more item wasn't sent back so I messaged the person once more for it.

Despite getting his decor items back like almost a week ago, I just didn't do much with my traveling wolves (I got my other one back, thankfully) so that's why I haven't dressed him back up and noticed the other missing decor until now. I took a break from this traveler thing because this incident kind of sullied my feelings about it, like I associate those negative feelings I had had when I first found out my boy ran away and when I got him back, all those event decor was possibly lost forever

I'm very happy and relieved to get his stuff back though but I definitely will be very paranoid and on high alert with every new host my travelers get passed to once I get back into this concept.

Also! That user didn't give any proper reply? or explanation or even an apology after I asked for my decor back, they just silently sent the items. So I'm peeved about that like you neglected my traveler to 0 for him to run away ;;;; and seemingly lost all my event decor items?? But you can't say even anything?? Like I'd take a shitty sorry over nothing. But I also didn't blatantly ask for an apology so I mean I guess I was just straight to the point in asking for my stuff back since I wanted to get over this incident asap

I also wonder if I should comment on the bug report to add that the missing decor from a runaway traveler does go to the host it ran away from's hoard instead?? since that was the case for me

Phew! Anyways, I hope you don't mind me rambling off here. Thanks if you read through this word vomit LOL

I'm glad to hear you got the decors back!
And I think you should definetely add that decors go to the host's hoard to the bug report, so that devs have as much info as possible when they try to fix the bug.

I decided to check on my traveling wolf and found that she's 0 hunger and pregnant so i wanted to see what info i can find on traveling wolves before she runs. She is nested though but still...
