If not doing something akin to the raffle studs, I am not sure how that would work without coming too close to each player getting to keep the NPC as a wolf in their pack (which a lot of folks wanted but the devs have made it clear as to why they won't do that). You could have them be a temporary pack member, I guess? Claim a NPC into your pack, sort of pair bond one of your own wolves to them and breed them, and as soon as the pups wean the NPC dips out? Seems like a lot of work. |

One idea I had was it could have a drop-down menu like the one the match matching/dating feature has and you select the two wolves to breed. If using a male NPC for the breeding that would be simple, you just breed them together and the female gets pregnant, similar to a regular stud breeding. As for a female NPC that might be a bit tricker because of the weaning process so I was thinking for a female NPC they could "watch over the pups" until they have weaned and after 5 roll overs (when the pups wean) the pups (2.5 months old) would join the player's pack (you would get a notification message telling you about new arrivals). Maybe even having some fun flavor text for both the male and female NPC breedings, like the match maker explaining how the breedings work. The match maker could say something under the lines of "Now that you've gone on a couple dates and gotten to know some of these wolves, if you want, you can select one of your wolves, including yourself, to pick partner. Selecting a partner is optional. If you decide to select a partner they will be breed to your chosen wolf. Only partners who have full affection meters can be selected so if you have your eye on someone you haven't impressed try going on a few more dates with them to win their heart!" (This is a rough idea but you get the gist of it) |
