I don't believe there are any instant befriend items in the game yet. If I'm wrong, someone will correct me.

That being said, you can use the Talent Tree for your leader to boost an NBWs likeness towards you, getting all four traits for wild wolves (Gregarious, Socializer, Refined, and Body Language) and doing actions that the personality deposition of the wolf you are trying to befriend likes will gurantee a success for no cost in the NBW befriending screen.
