Wings require constant cleaning and preaning in order to fly well. Bad in small spaces because of wings. Hard to run because of big talons and bulky wings. Auburn pelt with black ticking on back and tail while having black on limbs, ears, and eyelids. White toes, tail tip, and inside of ears. Large ears. Long fur around neck in a mane-like fashion. Amber Eyes. Talons instead of claws. Scar(s) on nose bridge and lip. Backstory: Hickory was born in the late spring on the border of the grasslands. It was cold day, with it being later in the season. Hickory had two older siblings. His mother was a loner. She romed between The Lake Puzzle and The Grasslands finding all the food she could. His father was apart of Eclipse Pack, and when hickory was old enough, he was taken to the Eclipse Pack to undergo training to become a hunter. He was bad at it though, and was then taught in herbs in hopes he would be a good herbalist. He was bad at that too. In one last effort, they tried to teach him to be a personal guard. He still wasn't good enough. The pack was disappointed. They told him he was too clunky and stupid. They said he would be lucky to be a pupsitter when he was older, but he would be too silly and fail that too. They had lost all hope for him. Until one day, he was tree hoping and had found a place where the ground gave way and animals would drop down inside grass and not be able to get back out. He went back to the pack and told them what he found. He showed them what happened to the animals that went over the grass by purposely falling in, only to fly back out before he hit the bottom. They had been grateful that he found it before a wolf got hurt. They gave him the responsibility to find dangers in the territory and find safe spots. He began to be useful to the pack, and after awhile, he had been accepted as a scout of the Eclipse Pack. Though some of his pack members still find him annoying, he tries his best to be a good wolf. (P.S. tell me if anything needs to change) |
