Willow thought that she had just about caught up to her prey when she heard a voice. It made her jump at first, but when she looked up she realized who it was. "Oh, um, hi Shadow..." She then also realized that she was supposed to be back with the pack with the elders, not in the forest hunting. |

"Willow, you know you can't go hunting alone, especially at night and during a thunder. Let's catch this prey and head back to camp" Shadow sighed. |

Willow was expecting to be yelled at. So she was quite relieved. And now she got to help catch the prey. So she followed Shadow's lead. |

Shadow didn't like that Willow was there. The forest at night was a dangerous place, and she feared for the young one's safety. The prey was a pheasant. She thought that bird was crazy to go around in that climate, but she hunted it anyway. "Here we are" she wispered when her and Willow were behind the prey, still unnoticed "now, jump on it as silently as you can, and kill it. I'm sure the elders will forgive you if you bring them a fresh prey" she finished. |

She took a big leap and landed right on top of the prey, half squashing it. She grasped it round its neck so it wouldn't breathe. She looked over at Shadow, hoping the older wolf would be somewhat impressed with her. |
