After Dusk Cats are told not to wander too close to the twoleg camp. It's too dangerous, and many have been known to go missing, and never return. The rule was simple. It kept them alive. 1. Defend your clan, even with your life. 2. Do not hunt outside of the Clan's territory. 3. Do not wander too close to the twoleg camp. 4. Elders, queens, sick or injured cats and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. 5. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life. 6. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice. 7. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name. 8. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice. 9. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies, retires, or is exiled. 10. After the death, retirement, promotion (to leader status), or exile of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh. 11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats. 12. No cat can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if they are not from the clan 13. The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code. 14. Warriors do not need to kill other cats to win their battles, except for cats outside the warrior code or if it is necessary for self-defense. 15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet. -'๑'- DewClan Leader: [CLOSED] Cherrystar - a flame point tom with aqua blue eyes, 9/9 lives Deputy: [CLOSED] Minkpelt - a blue silver maine coon she-cat with yellow eyes with red pupils Apprentice: Sunpaw Medicine Cat: [CLOSED] Swanstorm - a black and orange calico she-cat with one green eye and one blind eye Medicine Cat App: [CLOSED] Littlepaw - a small chestnut brown tabby tom with a heart patch on his chest and blue eyes Warriors: Briarstorm - a full bombay with greenish yellow eyes Silentflight - a chocolate brown oriental shorthair tom with hazel eyesa chocolate brown oriental shorthair tom with hazel eyes Apprentice: Sharppaw Poppyeyes - a fluffy cream tabby tom with wide oval amber eyes Tigermoth - a muted caliby with a light brown heart shaped mark on the muzzle and green eyes Feathertail - a grey marbled maine coon she-cat a long feathery tail and forest green eyes. Cherrystar - Leader - he/him - Location: Camp CenterThe early morning air during spring time was always crisp and relaxing, a deep breath in filling one's lungs in a refreshing coolness. The misty air and dew stuck plants that surrounded the camp's exterior brought in a smell that reminded him of home. It would be a nice, warm day once the sun rose into its spot in the sky. But for now, he took in the relaxing feeling that twilight could always wash over him. Peacefulness. Quiet. He didn't have to worry about and responsibilities while he sat here, no one calling his name, not for a while, not until the sky would turn it's much known yellowish orange, indicating a new day. Unlike the fears that keep him from falling into a deep rest that overtake his thoughts during the dark hours of night, dawn reminded him that he had another day to look forward to. Another day to live. Cherrystar wished he could stay on the overhang, staring out into the forest, but he knew the others would soon wake, and he'd have to resume his role as their leader. So he inhaled the morning scent one more time, before releasing it, and pulling himself to his feet. Carefully, he pads across, slipping in through the hole in the wall that leads into the warrior den, a small gap through overgrown vines and such that provide safety and warmth during cold winters. Cats were still asleep as he could tell, and he slipped out of the den with quiet paws, bringing himself into the main area. The fresh kill pile was lower than he'd like it to be, just a few mice, a squirrel, and a rabbit. Those would have to be eaten first, and he'd have to ask Minkpelt to send out a hunting team once enough cats have woken up. As for the medicine supply, he didn't want to sneak into the den and startle Swanstorm or Littlepaw, so he left them be, and knew if they needed more herbs, Swanstorm would approach him. The flame point slipped down to the lower level, barren, save for a few critters and bugs that scattered when they realized Cherrystar's presence. He did a quick survey, checking patched areas, and most of all, checking the main entrance the clan used. Once he was sure it was all clear, he made his way back up to be greeted with the sight of a few cats who were slowly but surely rising. And he took a deep breath, preparing himself for the day ahead. |

Littlepaw - MCA - Tom - Location: Medicine DenThe chestnut tabby was curled into a tight ball on a pile of cotton sheet scraps, having one of his rare moments of peace- that is, he was actually asleep. There was no excitable pitter-pattering of his paws on the old rickety wood floors and no endless stream of nonsense from his mouth. For a moment, DewClan was at peace, as their tiny medicine cat apprentice (ie terror) was snoozing. However, even the slightest noise was enough to awaken and excite him. The quiet creaking of floorboards caused Littlepaw to snort and abruptly raise his head, a small pile of leaves he'd meant to put away scattering from his movement. His blue eyes briefly darted around the darkened room, curious if it was his mentor who'd risen. "Pssst, Swanstorm!" He began in a not-so-quiet voice. "Hey- are you awake? Is that noise you? Swanstorm? Are you still sleeping?" Hopefully she wouldn't be mad that he'd fallen asleep before he finished putting all the fresh herbs away...it was so hard to focus on all that counting and organizing, anyways! No response. Although she could easily be ignoring him to catch a few more winks of sleep (who could blame her?), Littlepaw innocently assumed she was still fast asleep. So, that meant something else was up and about...was it one of those angry stripe-tailed cats (raccoon)? The ones with the funny paws that liked to steal things? The apprentice wiggled his haunches eagerly. If Swanstorm was still asleep and camp was under attack, this was his opportunity to be a warrior! Who said he couldn't be a medicine cat and a ferocious warrior? Littlepaw tip-toed out of the den, using his best hunter's crouch as he crept across the dusted floorboards. In the faint light of the cabin, he thought he could see a strange figure. An intruder, surely! Once he was closer, Littlepaw wiggled his haunches once more before springing at the mysterious figure. |

Silentflight - Warrior - Tom - Location: Camp CenterQuiet. Odd for this section of the hunting grounds Silentflight frequented, but welcome none-the-less. No birds twittering their fluff-brained heads off, or wind whistling through the lifeless branches of the trees. Just quiet. All consuming, until the only noise was the beating of his abnormally loud heart. Huh, weird? Looking down at his paws, the lanky tom batted at a leaf curiously, then watched as the silent wind carried it off without so much as a crinkle. Though Silentflight could see as clearly as if the sun was out, the stars glittered above him through the trees. Part of him, a distant part, thought he should be frightened; but it was, like everything else, muffled. Except his heartbeat. Why did it sound like giant paws loping across the ground? There was sudden movement out of the corner of his eye, but all he saw as he turned his head was the wide jaws and glistening teeth of the badger before the end. Jerking awake, it took Silentflight a moment to orientate himself in the dimness of the warriors den. And to untangle his long legs where he'd been apparently jolting in his sleep. Taking a deep breath, Silentflight willed himself to calm down. The dreams were nothing new, he'd had them frequently since he was a kit. Usually nonsensical things with no meaning - things he'd laugh to himself about come morning. Other times they had his hackles rising. One thing that never changed was that he twitched around like a rabbit caught in brambles. Hopefully he hadn't accidently kicked someone. Feeling a bit guilty at the possibility of interrupting anyone's night, Silentflight carefully made his way out of the den. It was still gloomy inside the cabin, meaning it was early still. There was a crisp dampness to the air, the last bit of leaf-bare clinging on. With the walls of the cabin helping keep the camp insulated, the worst of the lingering chill was kept at bay and Silentflight was glad for it. With his thin pelt, he was not made for leaf-bare. Even the thought of going on a morning hunting patrol was unpleasant until the sun could warm the air. Yet, looking at the fresh kill pile Silentflight knew it would be needed. And hunting, even when cold, was better than some of the other chores that needed to be done around the camp. With new-leaf arriving, parts of the cabin would likely need to be repaired after the beating it took during the cold season. Not seeing Minkpelt yet, Silentflight took a seat not too far from the kill pile to wait to be given his duties for the day. He'd just barely gotten started on grooming the bits of moss from his nest out when Cherrystar appeared from the lower level. Dipping his head in respect and greeting, Silentflight figured the leader didn't want to be bothered this early in the morning and returned to a particularly stubborn clump of moss. Out of the corner of his eye he caught movement, and with his dream still fresh in his mind quickly turned towards it. But instead of a badger, it was Littlepaw. The ball of energy that was the medicine cat apprentice seemed to be making himself a menace already. Silentflight laughed softly at the sight of Littlepaw springing himself onto an unsuspecting cat. |

"Aaannndddd…. Hop!" Poppyeyes carefully lowered himself down to one of the ledges outside one of the square openings [windows] that let air blow throughout the clan's den. Whenever Poppyeyes can't fall asleep, or is awakened by a certain twitching brown tom cat, he likes to watch from the top of the house and stare out into the sky. Sometimes he'll even train by himself up there. It's a good way to occupy himself while the rest of the clan sleeps. Returning to the third floor of their den, Poppyeyes winces as the floorboards creak under his feet. A quick glance around confirms that none of the elders or kits were awoken by his entrance. Letting out a soft sigh of relief the tabby tom went down to the level the clan's fresh-kill pile resided on. Poppyeyes liked being awake early as that meant Minkpelt often put him on the morning border patrols. Sure, despite his disability Poppyeyes could still hunt. But his clanmates, being able to smell, were much more proficient at it. With border patrols Poppyeyes could really shine, being able to notice small disturbances on the border due to the specialized training he went through as an apprentice. As the cream warrior entered the clearing he noticed Silentflight resting by the freshkill pile. Grinning at the tom, Poppyeyes pranced over, intending to tease the tom about how he had woken him up. However, Poppyeyes lack of smell ment if he didn't see or hear something it was easy to sneak up on him. Feeling a sharp prick on his tail the tom let out a sharp yelp and jumped, claws sliding out from his paws, Whirling around to face his attacker he saw…..Littlepaw!? Immediately shifting into his normal playful demeanor, Poppyeyes let out a dramatic gasp and fell to the floor, a false look of shock plastered on his face. "Oh, the AGONY! I have once again been felled by the great LITTLESTAR! Oh, I feel the light leaving me….please, tell Fennelpurr……that I always let them win when we spar….cause they suck…." and with that, Poppyeyes rested his head on the floor, tongue sticking out in a comedic attempt to play dead. Despite being 22 moons old Poppyeyes never lost his kittish sense of humor. Minkpelt- Deputy- She/Her- Clearing A soft breeze made its way through a crack in the wall as the large scarred she-cat blinked the sleep out of her eyes. Glancing around, it was still quite early in the morning and most of her clanmates were still in the realm of dreams. Shifting her way out of the den, her torn up maw opened in a low yawn. Eyes shifting around the area, she spotted Cherrystar spending some time alone. Minkpelt debated going up and initiating conversation with the leader but her nerves stopped her. Minkpelt still didn't quite feel comfortable talking with him even after 8 moons of being deputy, and at least to her their relationship felt purley professional. Even so, she did wish to get to know the tom better. To be fair, most of her clanmates felt more like acquaintances to her than friends. Minkpelt may be a prodigy in combat, but a kithood of doubt and hostility left her lacking in the social department. While she could see why she would make a good deputy, Minkpelt could never see herself as a leader. Finally making it to the fresh-kill pile, her face twisted into one of annoyance. Little to no prey was left, meaning early-morning hunting patrols had to be arranged. Even though no one was up. Fantastic. A pang of worry shot through her as she scanned the area, eyes landing on Silentfight. Minkpelt gave the warrior a tired smile and bowed her head in greeting. She liked Silentflight, mostly because he was large enough where she didn't feel as if she was bearing down on him. "I see hunting patrols must be made" she sighed, sitting a tail-length away from her clanmate. Minkpelts voice was a baritone, raspy and flat. Upon meeting her one might think she was angry at them. However that was simply how she talked, and most of her clanmates had become accustomed to it. Besides, Minkpelt was anything but flat in voice when she was angry. |

Swanstorm - Medicine Cat - She-cat - Location: Medicine DenSwanstorm awoke with a yawn, blinking sleep from a blurry eye as she regained her senses from her nap. Disgruntled, the she-cat raised her tail and stretched, not quite as half-awake as before. "Ah, where's Littlepaw..." she muttered to herself as she set about inspecting the den of any disturbances. She wouldn't put it past Littlepaw to accidently knock something down without noticing, but at least she didn't mention it to the energetic apprentice. Staring down at a small pile of unsorted herbs, she sighed and turned away, still too sleepy to barge out of the den and order her apprentice to finish their work. Instead, she passively walked out, her belly rumbling slightly. As it was still morning, the clearing was mainly quiet except for a few small conversations here and there. Allowing a breeze to ruffle up her fur. she closed her eye and remained as still as stone, deep in thought. Often the medicine cat would indulge in such activities, allowing her mind to wander if nobody needed her assistance. Constantly still, she would repeatedly have to drive the same thoughts away. Her sisters...ah, not that again. With an abrupt shake of her head, she expressed a slight scowl before carefully crafting her impression back into one of impassiveness, and decided on following easier thoughts. Herbs...I'll ask Littlepaw if he could find some juniper berries...I'll have to sort through some of the herbs... She opened her eye and trotted around camp, looking for Littlepaw. |

Littlepaw - MCA - Tom - Location: Camp CenterHis hunter's crouch was imperfect, no matter the number of silly kitten games he'd played while in the nursery. Regardless, Littlepaw was confident that his stalking was flawless- how could he possibly know any better, when he'd never been taught to hunt as a medicine cat in training? His tail flicked incessantly from excitement, nearly as much as his whiskers quivered. He was a vibrating ball of energy doing his best to stalk his prey: what he assumed to be a stripe-tailed cat invading camp. He was taking such a threat with far too much enthusiasm...so was the life of a 6-moon old apprentice. When he collided with his so-called "enemy", he chomped down pitifully with his kitten teeth while his tabby tail lashed wildly. However, Littlepaw was quick to realize that this stripe-tailed cat wasn't a stripe-tailed cat after all: no, it was just another clanmate! Whoops? All warriors made mistakes, right? Even ones who were small and medics-in-training? But being the proud cat that he was, Littlepaw did his best to play it off. It was too early and he was much too excited to have his spirits dampened yet. His accidental target, Poppyeyes, seemed to be going with it anyways. "Hah!" The little medicine cat apprentice chirped, backing off while Poppyeyes began to "die". "That's why you should, uhm, never let your guard down! That's right- I'm the toughest medicine-warrior-cat you'll ever see!" The excitable cat briefly circled Poppyeyes before jabbing him with a white paw for good measures, just to make sure he was good and defeated. "Fennelpurr has cooties! You should be thanking me for this great service." His ears swiveled around, followed by his head at the sound of the clan's deputy, Minkpelt. Oh, maybe...what if he went on the patrol with them? Swanstorm wasn't awake yet, and there couldn't be anything wrong with him getting extra training to make him extra important to his clan! "Oh, what if I...?!" Littlepaw trailed off, his scattered mind being distracted by something else: a shimmering in the corner of his eye. A silver-winged bug was fluttering in a thin stream of sunlight, causing him to instantly crouch down again. Oh, oh! If he showed off his great hunter's crouch, they'd have to take him along! Littlepaw was circling his (new) prey with a soft growl before he found himself being distracted by something else: a familiar coat in the crowd. His mentor was awake! Never mind him forgetting to finish organizing the herbs from before- she might have new herbs for him to sniff! He liked learning, even if he wasn't always perfect at it. Sometimes, the herbs smelled like rat dung, but other times, they smelled quite pleasant. He'd like to taste some of them, especially the berries, but...he knew Swanstorm would have his ears if he did. Spinning on his paws and ditching the bug, he eagerly trotted over to his mentor with a wide grin. "Good morning, Swanstorm!!" He greeted her with great gusto, offering an excitable wiggle of his haunches as he attempted to sit down. "Didya sleep good? Do you have any new things for me? Are we going to learn where kittens come from now?" |

Cherrystar - Leader - he/him - Location: Camp CenterMany cars were slipping out of their den, and that's when he spotted Minkpelt. Perfect. He began to move towards her quickly, when he was caught off guard by the sound of a thump on the floor, jumping at the noise and his fur standing on end. However, he was soon relaxed upon hearing Poppyeyes' voice, dramatic, and Littlepaw tackling him. Cherrystar have his chest a quick lick, slightly embarrassed at his overreaction. He never wanted to seem like the type to get easily startled or lose his edge especially around the other cats, but he was slowly realizing all the things Palestar had to do in order to keep the clan together. That's why he enjoyed the little bits of peace and quiet he gets in the early morning. Getting out of his stupor, he continued his walk towards Minkpelt who was now sitting near Silentflight, taking a quick look around to see if anyone noticed his startle. "Good morning, Silentflight, Minkpelt." He dips his head, even if he was leader, and turned to address Minkpelt. Despite always being able to find the right words to say when it came to addressing the clan, or taking up his responsibilities, he never knew what to say when it came to his deputy. She was smart, she was loyal, and he knew he made a good choice when choosing her. However, when it came to who she was as herself, Cherrystar seemed to lose his confidence, like there was something holding the two of them back from being more than just their roles. He figured one day, he'd be able to make a good friend in her. "With today's hunting patrol, I was hoping we could send one apprentice out. And the other can join the morning's border patrol. Give them a chance to work on their skills separately." Briarstorm - Warrior - they/them - Location: Warrior's Den ⤏ Camp CenterIf it wasn't for the shifting and the sounds of creaking wood, Briarstorm would have stayed in their nest all morning. The position they found was most welcoming, and the feeling of their eyes shut was warm and peaceful. But the sounds only increased as time went on, more cats passing by them to start their day early. They let out a sigh, and opened their eyes, body not moving. After a moment of laying still, they lost the mental debate to stay down, and slowly shifted themself up. A stretch took over their body, and a yawn followed suit. It was a damp morning, as most were, and they could almost smell the forest through the wooden frames of the camp walls. Once they found the strength to join the now awake cats, Briarstorm's eyes trailed over to the small fresh kill pile, the corner of their mouth twisting at its small size. It wasn't enough to get a quick meal before the day's activities, and they could feel their stomach tighten at the thought of food. However, their claws itched at the idea of eating something fresh and they considered slipping out of one of the square holes throughout the camp, or perhaps finding their way to the lower level and snatching a mouse or even a squirrel. But both Minkpelt and Cherrystar were up and speaking to each other, and they held themself down, thinking that they might be chosen for the morning patrol if they just waited. |

Feathertail || Warrior || She/Her || Location Warrior Cats Den ⤏ Camp Center The shuffling of paws and voices echoing from outside the den stirred the Maine coon from her slumber. Those forest green eyes slowly fluttered open as she scanned the den. It seemed she was one of the very few who had woken up later then others. Rising onto her paws, she dropped into a bow as she stretched herself out with a yawn. Then, as she moved forward, she stretched out her back legs one at a time before finishing her morning stretches. Limber and ready for todays events, she wandered out of the den. The camp was quite busy, she spotted their gracious leader and deputy on scene with some warriors. A respectful bow would be given to Cherrystar and Minkpelt first then a nod of acknowledgement to her fellow clan mates. Once greetings were out of the way, she'd take a glance over the prey pile to find it quite bear… Hunting would need to occur. 'I wouldn't mind going for a hunt this morning.' The she-cat thought to herself but it wasn't up to her for what she would do today. Sitting down, her stomach gave out a soft rumble and she tried to will it to stop. Going a few hours without food wasn't a big deal. |
