lanlianhua

deep in the mountains is a territory swathed in a permanent mist, causing it to appear as if it floats atop an ocean of clouds. cliffs here are towering and the mountains are lush and teeming with wildlife. cold springs in the area have healing properties, and cascading waterfalls bring soft white noise to the otherwise silent lands.

this area is known as cloud recesses, the functioning centre of the lanlianhua pack.

lanlianhua, meaning blue lotus, is the pack that formed from the ashes of the old cultivational packs before it. the cloud recesses were formerly the home of the gusu-lan pack, before lan wangji (lanlianhua's founder and lead wolf) brought about the reformation with mate wei wuxian.

in comparison to the old gusu-lan sect, lanlianhua's rules are few and, in general opinion, far more reasonable. however, there are rules that, while they are no longer written in stone, are still followed out of habit. for example, the wolves of lanlianhua tend to hunt outside of cloud recesses to preserve the abundant life there.

the doors of the pack are open to all who wish to cultivate their own path. there are wolves from all walks of life with all reputations, such as xue yang, who comes with a limp and tales of slaughter, and xingchen, who strives to do nothing but good.
