Both feared and revered, the dreamer clan are a strange, freespirited group of wolves with an even stranger leader. She insists that the world is nothing but her dream and everything and everyone is a piece of her mind. She continues to be reborn again and again with strange things happening wherever she goes. Her followers believe her wholeheartedly and wait for the day when their lucid dreamer finally wakes up and the world is destroyed and mostly forgotten just as all dreams are. They believe they are the lucky ones who have a chance to live on in the memory of their lucid dreamer and possibly live on again in another dream. Some of her followers have found a way to be reborn back into the world if the lucid dreamer wills it, and some of the pack members have some of the same abilities and mysterious knowledge that the lucid dreamer has including some she doesn't have. Gaining skill in lucid dreaming is the height of achievement in the pack and discussion of dreams is a common topic of conversation.

Considering territory space is limited all pups born into the pack will be assessed by the lucid dreamer and the betas. If it is decided that the pup cannot stay with the pack the pup will be sent to live with another pack when they are ready. Although they will still be allowed to visit in the future. Scouts and missionaries are always on the look out for pups worthy of joining. In fact many of the pack members originate from outside the pack including those that have been rejected from their original packs. Although most new members are pups some adolescents or adults will be allowed to join if they prove their loyalty.

Currently the pack's goal is to grow in size and to gain more power. The territory is constantly growing to allow for more members. Their territory changes location on occasion. Usually the coniferous forest, deciduous forest, grassland and prairie. All wolves are expected to help one another in what ever way they can, and all wolves who are capable are expected to fight and defend the pack when necessary.

Their attitudes toward outsiders vary greatly and one outsider may be immediately welcomed or allowed to visit while another will be killed. It is believed their leader can sometimes times sense the intentions of outsiders and the pack will act accordingly. This is reasonable considering their enemies hope to destroy them, and find a way to prevent the lucid dreamer from waking. Although the lucid dreamer herself admits that this is impossible and even she has trouble predicting when that will happen. That being said the pack overall typically isn't very aggressive and are even friendly and helpful in most cases, however other packs tend to find their attitudes at least somewhat unnerving.

The Lucid Dreamer

A mysterious black wolf who is revered by her pack. She was found long ago by a mediums size pack of wolves wandering the edge of a deciduous forest. She was found with strange abilities such as being able to change events around her, like shapeshifting and moving through objects. Although powerful her abilities are inconsistent and may not always work when or how she wants them too. The more confident she is the more likely they are to work in her favor. Alternatively the more distressed she is the more likely they are to backfire as they prey upon her fears and insecurities. Although lucid she never reaches the same level of awareness a waking person would have and she goes through episodes of confusion or even complete blindness. She doesn't need to sleep but when she does she enters a dream within a dream and these dreams are held highly by her followers. Although not a fan of killing she doesn't feel that badly when she does because she doesn't believe them to be entirely real. She believes those around her to be fictional extensions of herself. She is almost always at the forefront of battles and diplomacy with other packs or any other time where force is needed, although most of the time she behaves more like an ordinary pack member than a leader.

Beta(s)

These wolves are the true leaders of the pack and are often a bonded pair. While the lucid dreamer makes the ultimate decisions and guides the group with her power and knowledge, the betas take care of the everyday decisions, and their word in the pack is highly respected even by the lucid dreamer herself as they know things about the world even she doesn't know. The Betas and the lucid dreamer often work hand in hand to keep the group together by sharing their dream wisdom with each other. Betas control aspects of regular pack life like instructing hunting parties, scouts, and guards and are the glue that keeps the pack together and running. They spend much of their time dispelling tension, encouraging teamwork, and establishing group morale.

Mentors

Mentors are often the best lucid dreamers alongside the betas and on rare instances are able to gain insight beyond even the lucid dreamer. The often serve as mental support for not only the whole pack but the lucid dreamer too. While the herbalist is the healer of the body the mentors are the healers of the soul. Mentors spend their time teaching the pups the ways of the pack and secure the pack's future.

The Herbalist

The herbalist is an elusive and talented craftsman, and has great knowledge of the flora of the world. The herbalist spends most of their time alone either searching the wild for herbs or mixing medicine. Although seldom seen along side the rest of the pack their work in treating others is vital

Missionaries

Missionaries spend much of their time outside of the pack spreading the word of the lucid dreamer. Missionaries live dangerous lives facing aggressive packs, wild animals, harsh terrain, rough weather all without the rest of their pack. These wolves are the first to be sent out for diplomacy with other packs and have to have been trained to have impeccable manners and interpersonal skills although some may come off as aloof. They often spend much of their time growing up around mentors gaining skills in lucid dreaming.
