The blessing of an elder Forest Spirit allowed Youshi the strength to create and maintain her own clan within the Secret Garden, an ethereal empire located in the Ether. However, after having a secret affair with her abusive sister's mate, Johi, they were both sent to the Midrealm to give up their immortality. Youshi was devastated at first, but after a long conversation with her new mate, Youshi and Johi agreed to grow their own lineage of mortal Forest Guardians within the Midrealm to rival that of the spirits of the Ether.
