Dawn Shadow

As I find myself alone with the pack's puppies and my thoughts more often than not I have decided to occupy my spare time with telling our tale, so to speak. Before we came here we all lived in a beautiful forest, though at that time we came from different packs. Rival packs. My sister, Snowspirit, and I from one, Shadowrain and her uncle and cousin from the other. It's funny how generations of bad blood and disputes over territory and prey melt away in the face of catastrophe. There was a wildfire, it raged through our home, we were separated from our packs and when it all was over... there was nothing left, but us. Shadowrain united us with her compassion and understanding... perhaps for a moment I even fell for her... but that is beside the point. We came to this new forest under her leadership and here we met Ravenfrost, where he comes from I know not, but he was happy enough to help us navigate this new place. Our new home.

The sudden loss of Duskstar our beloved Herbalist shook the pack this morning. For many of us it was the first time they had lost someone so close to them. Her pups are heartbroken, but they are trying to be strong. We will miss her kindness and strength but she will always be remembered in our song.
