DuskDown pack

~~+-------------------------------------------~~~~------------------------------------------+~~

Frosco watches you pass through his territory, following you with a weary gaze. "Stranger wolf, I warn you, strange things happen around here, stay if you'd like, but don't say I didn't tell you so when something goes wrong." He disappears into the underbrush, and just as he vanished, so did his scent, as the silence of the forests settles over you.

Pack rules and Guidelines:
1. Outsider wolves must prove themselves once joined, this is to prevent weak wolves from weighing down the others. Proving themselves includes finding prey on their own, getting along with the pack, and successful scouting or herb gathering, depending on the role they wish to be.
2. Pups do not have names, regardless of gender, regardless of skill or importance, they only get names at adolescenthood, and are otherwise known as (Gender specific Daughter/Son + Sister/Brother) (Daughter or son)/(Sister or brother)/Pup. If a pup is adopted, they're simply known as 'Pup' and if a pup is of a single pup litter, the sister/brother is excluded from the name.
3. The alpha does not have full rule, and infact, healers have more say. However, big decisions depend on votes, no single wolf makes any important decision.
4. Thank Seromin the god of hunt after every successful hunt, and give thanks to the spirit of your prey for providing you with food.
5. Never shall a wolf go to the mountain peak unless they are soon to die, wolves shall go there for their final resting place.
7. Most pups will leave at 2yrs old (I'll roll a D4 to see if they do or not, but that's around the time they first can)

Wolves of DuskDown pack believe in a multitude of deities, from Seromin the god of hunt, to Gift the goddess of dawn. Deities include:
SEROMIN, the god of hunt, a mix between a wolf and a bear, Seromin is a bulky, large god who although may look threatening, hunts only when needed, it is required to thank Seromin for every successful hunt, or the wolf who did not is disgraced and it is believed they're now unlucky, and their pups will be cursed.
STALITOS, the god of forest, Stalitos is a stag three times as a normal one, often depicted to be mossy, grand, and even have leaves growing on his forever lasting antlers. Stalitos is the protector of the forests, disasters and blessings to the forest are a result of Stalitos approval, or rather, disapproval.
ESERI, the goddess of change, Seen as an every changing entity, Eseri is the goddess which changes the land, shifts the seasons, and causes worldwide change. It is said if you see Eseri, she will bless you on sight, as long as you bow to her, and give her an offering of something precious.
GIFT, goddess of dawn, Gift appears in the form of a golden eagle, that appears every sunrise, Gift is to be praised every sunrise, she brings the sun up... And if not shown respect, can keep it lowered forever.
SADIA, god of day, simply a white and gold rabbit, Sadia brings day, and must be thanked for giving light to the world every month on the day after the full moon.
KEHIA, god of dusk, in the form of a cougar with fox like features, Kehia is the favored deity of DuskDown pack, infact, Kehia is often left offerings every day by his cave, which he is said to have laid in for a thousand years, unknowingly bringing dusk in his slumber.
OSIA, goddess of night, a black serpant of considerable size, Osia is both a blessing and a curse, although she brings great rest, and successful hunts, she also brings uncertainty and harder visibility, she is temperamental, her mind changing every night wether it will be a prosperous night, or a difficult one.

DuskDown pack has the usual hiarchy; Alpha, Healer, Pupsitters, Hunters, Scouts, however, there are ways to earn more respect and a higher influence over votes. One way is simply, being favored by the alpha, for example, a mate, or just his favorite wolf. Another is being higher skilled, higher level, or simply higher proficiency in certain jobs. As well as these, age also helps, the older the more respected, the younger, the less as they're seen as more childish. Another way is your number in the pack, were you the latest wolf to join or be birthed in the pack? Or were you one of the oldest joining ones, wolves that have been in the pack longer are generally more respected. Mother wolves also get more respect, depending on the number of pups they have reared. In the opposite direction, there's also ways to have less respect, mutated wolves are often seen as a bit weaker, and low skill means low respect. If you fail every hunt then you're clearly a disgraced wolf, and if you fail the joining trials, you don't get any respect at all, and will instantly be chased.

Note: Mostly, DuskDown pack leaves pups without sitters, this isn't neglect, but rather, they believe strong pups will survive even without a pupsitter, and strong mothers can keep them safe.
