Order Of The Hidden Sun
"May Oion Guide You Home."
The King and Queen are the rulers of the pack and are mates. Their offspring are the pack's Princes and Princess, though this is not an official rank that just any wolf can earn. The Duke and Duchess of the pack is a rank few get to acquire. The Duke or Duchess is pair-bonded to the pack's future heir or Heiress and is the future King or Queen. Lords and Ladies are the pack's second-in-command, betas if you will. The pack's Herbalist is the pack's healer, who cares for the pack's general health. While the Sage is the pack's spirit walker, they commune with the dead and speak for the gods. Scouts, Hunters, and Pupsitters are all on equal footing and self-explanatory. A Saint is the pack's equivalent of an omega, though they are often treated with respect, as they often take a lot of crap when tensions are high. The pack Consort is a ranking that's rarely given out. The rank of consort is only given out to the mate of a King or Queen that is the same gender as the King or Queen. If a King or Queen takes a consort, then the youngest living relative will be given the duty of breeding the next heir. A new pseudo rank has emerged recently, The rank of Count or Countess is given to those within the fourth degree of relation to any king or queen. This is to acknowledge the royal bloodline.
Language
No matter what language is spoken, some words are universal. Though sometimes, they take different forms. Winter, in the Order of the Hidden Sun or OHS, is called Snowcall. Spring is called Blossompeak, while Autumn is called Ambergrasp and Summer takes the form of Sunwake. They have a few odd swears as well, such as Rotbrain, Venomtongue, Flaming Fire, and a pile of pebbles.
Recently, the pack has started giving their young pups long or odd names. Translations often come out to be Ray of Dawn's Light or Silverfang. It is unknown why.
Praise the Gods
When it comes to the ranks there are certain gods that one may pray to more. Herbalists may pray more to Drylena, Yldir, or Romaris. Scouts tend to pray to Euna, Thuphine, or Tovnas more. While Hunters are more varied as they double as warriors, they seek out Modea, Searus, Euna, and Etia, more often than not. A Sitter will often pray to Eohr, Aohr, and Nurena. While Sages often receive messages, omens, and prophecies from Tovnas, Rutune, Canera, and Eohr. For the most part, the pack leaders tend to seek out answers from the Sages or Herbalists. But no matter what rank one is, we all pray to Aohr and Oion to bring us home safe and sound.
