COLD-HEARTED COMPOSURE
The sun sinks into the horizon, making the mountains blush red and gold. Alpine trees part and reveal the ground laden with pawprints. The sound of rushing water echoes all throughout the mountain range, growing louder and louder further into the wood. A well-trodden path through the dips and inclines of the forest leads to an austere pack of wolves. Many pairs of eyes peer out across the territory. Each one knows their station.
Behind the Frigid Waterfall lies an alcove in the rock, softened with feather moss. This is home to the Pack Leader, as well as their trusted Companions; these may be advisors, bodyguards, paramours, or simply respected friends. High up and well hidden beneath its veil of rushing water, this seems like one of the safest places to stay in the territory. Though, the regular spray of bone-chilling water is an acquired taste.
The cold water streams down into a Shallow Pool, in which the Hunters and Scouts of the pack can soak their weary paws after a long day. Adolescents are tasked with organizing and burying the foods and trinkets they bring back with them, so they can rest once they return home. They sleep out in the open, with the stars and clouds as their canopy.
A little ways away is the Hollow Conifer, where the Herbalist tends to the ill and injured. Its branches seem to warp and merge, casting fuzzy shadows over the water. The tired wolves beneath lounge in its shade. The aroma of herbs wafts out from the empty tree, often as do the pained groans of the unwell.
Entangled in the tree's roots, a Forgotten Burrow houses Pupsitters and adolescent wolves. It's old and stuffy, the floor is lumpy and uneven, and there's a tendency for cobwebs to form if the little ones don't nip at them. No one's quite sure who forgot it, but it's hard to believe they'd miss it very much. Pups dread the day they leave their mother's side to move here.
Well away from the rest of the den, wanderers and visitors rest in a large gash through the rock known as the Maw of the Mountain. Wolves unsure about staying in the pack permanently tend to stay around here, though they seldom stay long. Nonetheless, they must contribute while they're here.
In every direction at once, the pack emerges, the embodiment of poise. Competing with the roar of the waterfall, wolves tilt their heads back and howl.

No inbreeding (NIB). Out-crossing (OCR) is allowed.
The Breeding Male of the pack is decided by the Pack Leader.
