THE LUNAR HIGHCLAW PACK
The terms "alpha, betas, & omegas" have been proven to be flawed and outdated in the terms of scientific study amongst the humans, however, that cannot be said the same for the wolves bred in captivity. One of these specimens had been able to escape, bringing forth a plethora of issues after taking over one of the resident packs.
Caspian
Despite the studies between wild and captive wolves have been revealed to be vastly different under circumstance, the idea of a pack hierarchy follows a family unit rather than a power dynamic. Wolves selected for the experiment came from different packs to study their social structures; in reality, the wolves fought for social order amongst one another and the ideologies of "alphas, betas, and omegas" had been greatly ingrained into the captive wolves. There have been times in which packs adopted a "king & queen" system in order to solidify their authority and if possible, attempt to join wolves in the surrounding areas to create massive packs. Much of the previous HighClaw hierarchy had been changed by the new pack leader, Caspian, in order to reinforce these ideas of social hierarchy between who is the strongest and weakest in the pack.
Origins
Upon awakening from a strange dream, of an odd land similar to our own in which exotic creatures danced under the moonlight, Caspian became obsessed in trying to understand what this all meant. After conversing with a few of his pack-mates and speaking with the wiser beasts of the mountains, apparently there were Lunar Wolves which came onto the mortal realm and left behind a few generations of pups. The HighClaw pack had only been reduced to twenty-five members and fear arose that all his work would've been all for nought. Even at his age, there were high ambitions still needed to be accomplished as pack-mates were selected to go forth and find those born from Lunar Wolves. It had been tricky to determine which would be honored to bear these exotic heirs, but soon enough, a plan had been concocted to bring forth the glory of the HighClaws.
This was his destiny! To create a true Lunar HighClaw Pack! And forever cement his bloodlines to the holy light of the Moon!
Only wolves with one or both parents born from true Lunar Wolf heritage will be kept to further breed with others of the same qualifications in order to recreate the Lunar HighClaw Pack. Those who inherit the same base of their Lunar Wolf parent are considered 'True Blues' and selected to become precautionary heirs of the pack. Exceptions are made when wolves under the class of 'Lesser Blues', pelts that resemble moonlight, are brought in to ensure fresher stock and avoid any accidental mingling from one another.
Praise the Moon! Bring forth the Heir of the Lunar Wolves!
