The young leader seemed to display a strong level of maturity and dedication, despite having never done anything like this before. He walked side by side with you, as if you were a long time companion rather than a guest. He led the both of you up a green, grassy hill, overlooking the den site below. Wolves of all ages were sprawled about, puppies playing as their caretakers lazily watched. A fresh yet mostly devoured carcass lay aside in the shadows, where one or two wolves sat nibbling on its bones, their muzzles stained with the blood of a good meal.
"You're welcome to stay as long as you need," Osric spoke kindly, his golden eyes watching over the pack below. "We have plenty of food to share, and lots of cozy spots to rest weary paws." The look on his face was one of admiration and pride, a glimmer of hope in his young eyes. "My father was a brute who knew nothing of kindness...or compassion. This clan is proof of what both of those things can bring. Harmony, hope, and strength. We are a tight unit, connected by our ancestors and entwined by loyalty and love." He turned his gaze to you once more, his chin lifted ever so slightly. "Welcome to Deadmaw."

~Pack Rules~
◇ All Leaders must come from the Deadmaw line. The heir must be a child or grandchild of the retiring Lead.
◇ Heirs of the throne are picked to be Lead based on multiple factors, judged by the Deadmaw Court before being officially selected by the retiring Lead.
◇ If the Lead is away from the pack, all members must obey any orders that come from the wolf next highest in power. This wolf must be either a Lead's mate or the chosen Beta.
◇ Wolves can pair and mate within the pack, but the mated pair must NOT be related. Inbreeding is strictly NOT ALLOWED.
◇ If a pack member desires to mate from outside the pack, the potential mate must meet the desired requirements of the Deadmaw Clan.
◇ Pups must be watched over at all times! Until reaching adolescence, no pups shall go unprotected.
◇ All clan members must be kept well fed and healthy
◇ Pups, apprentices, mothers, and their caregivers eat first
◇ Treacherous members are punished with starvation and isolation. If a major pack rule is violated in an extreme fashion, or if a member is to try and defy the clan or harm the Lead, they are named a punished member and forced from the clan
◇ All newcomers go through a 3 day trial. If the clan does not approve of their presence, they are chased.
◇ All clan-born members earn their name as apprentices. Most adopted or taken in members also earn their new name, although some may choose to keep their old one
◇ Large clan numbers mean more problems. If the clan grows too many in number, wolves of adolescence and up are at risk of being driven out by the pack
~Clan Life~
"Life is going well for this growing clan. Young hunters are growing more experienced every day, their successes bringing in plentiful amounts of food. Mothers and watchful clan members protect the new lives and future generations, teaching and nurturing them patiently. The scouts use their talents and strengths to help expand our knowledge and keep our borders safe. Our new young herbalist is doing very well in learning her new duties. Any abundant excess of food is preserved and sold to other packs in exchange for other supplies we may need, and talented paws craft art to sell to any who may want it. I am proud of my clan, and proud to say that Deadmaw is thriving beautifully."
