A New Dawn
You find yourself lost on an unexplored moorland. High, green grasses tangle with leaning flowers, stretching into the faraway sky. Dewdrops speckle the grass, reflecting the pleasant splendor of the sunrise. The light-hearted tune of birdsong rumples your ear fur, and a whispering breeze stirs your chilly pelt. You can see a cream-pelted wolf approaching you from the dawn light, blinking at you with welcoming eyes. Suspicion makes you wary, but you soon realize that this is a wolf you can trust. As she draws nearer, you relax your hackles and return her gaze coolly. Now, close up, you can see an affable gleam in the she-wolf's olive-green eyes. "Welcome to the Serein Moorland," she addresses you, bobbing her head in a respectful greeting. You reply tentatively. It isn't every day you meet friendly wolves. The she-wolf continues. "I am Evanthe. My pack, the glade pack, lives here. Maybe one day you may join us in unity and friendship." Perhaps you might. Dipping your head in farewell, you continue down the grassland, but not without one final glance behind you. You can spot Evanthe seeing you move down the steppe, her fur streaming in the breeze. As you turn around, her warm gaze lingers in your head, and you know that this is a place where you will always be welcome. |
Caves + Sorting
Alteration Hollow is for wolves whose dispositions or appearances will undergo the ceremony of renewal. If not being used for the ceremony, it will be used for wolves that are being sold to other packs in exchange for gold or silver cones. The Herbalist's Den normally houses Terran and his friend Herbert the bear. When not occupied by either of the two, it shelters and isolates sick wolves from the rest of the pack. It was formerly used as a birthing den. The Nursing Den is for females who have not yet weaned their pups. They stay in the den until their pups become adolescents, then move back into the Shivelight Clearing. Shivelight Clearing is for wolves who have reached the adult age of twelve months. By this age, they are mature enough to join the hunts, forage for herbs, sit for pups, or scout the territory. Twisted Glade is the cave where all weaned puppies and adolescents go. The glade is a peaceful place filled with tranquility and peace until they become responsible to care for the pack themselves. |

Other Helpful Info!!
Lilou is the planned heir for the pack. Each heir will be kin of Evanthe. Pupsitters will be permanent residents in the Nursing Den. Adding onto that, wolves with aggressive dispositions cannot become pupsitters. In the lore, Terran received a vision from their wolf ancestors that a red-eyed wolf will come, born from Evanthe's kin, that will overthrow her pack and destroy it. Every red-eyed pup will be ousted until Evanthe dies. Excerpts from the wolves' pasts will be written on their bios.
