Đescendants

If you close your eyes and listen, you can hear the sound of a wolf as he cries into the darkness of the night. The cries are soft and sweet as they join together in a harmonic tune. If you listen you can hear one wolf's cry stands out amongst all others. His is louder and sweeter as he raises his voice to the skies. For if a wolf's voice is loud enough what happens next may be even more mysterious and beautiful. The air grows still and cold around him. Suddenly, he gets the feeling of being watched. He looks around becoming more alert. His ears flicked about and he shifts from paw to paw nervously. Though he has nothing to fear. A soft silvery figure of a female wolf appears before him. He grows excited when he sees his ancestor who was never truely lost to the world. She speaks nothing and bows her head and smiles. They look at each other for a while before she vanishes into the heavens as she came. In that moment of silence the wolf had understood. He sits down and sighs looking onto the heavens and smiles...

"Once alone but never alone for she is always in my heart. Gone but never forgotten."

To both of my Great grandmothers who I have lost about a year and a half ago, I know that you are always watching me as I continue on my life. Though you are no longer with us I still feel your spirits alive in my heart and soul. You are always with me. Guiding and protecting me and our family. I may be the lone wolf that longs to see you one last time, I know I am not alone. You may not be here, but you are here....I love you.

Đescendants

You trek through the woods. The darkness and bitter cold surrounds you, making you feel suddenly disoriented. Continuing on, you start noticing you've been wandering around for a long time and you realize you're now lost. After a while you stop, new smells fill the air drifted with the night breezes. A sudden haunting howl alerts you to the presence of another wolf. Your fur pricks straight up on end, as the gnawing feeling of being watched taunts your mind. Nearby you hear a twig snap and a rustling of leaves, however, it grows eerily silent again. "Hello?" You ask breaking the silence. That's when you notice it. To your left a pair of glowing amber eyes. Suddenly the shadow comes into the light of the full moon. It's a female wolf. Beautiful and graceful is she. "I see that you're lost...you've stumbled upon my packs land. Come with me." She speaks up, turning and walking off in a direction to a small overgrown path. "I will provide you a place to rest within our pack and nourishment for the time being. You may stay here with us until dawn. It's only temporary unless my mate deems you fit to stay permanently. Until then, "Welcome to the pack!"
