Aspenway caves

Home of the kind... And the corrupt

You approach the entrance of the caves, your nose twitching as you sniff the cool air flowing out. It smells sweet, welcoming... almost... intoxicating... you feel yourself being lulled by this sweet smell. Your paws moving on their own as you step towards the entrance. there's a faint glow in the back of the tunnel, drawing you in. the deeper you get, the darker the tunnel becomes. soon the only light is the faint glow growing bigger as you pad towards it. however... You become aware of the scent becoming bitter... rancid... it makes you sick to your stomach, your eyes sting and your ears flatten. closer and closer the light grows until you can almost touch it. Just as you reach your nose out to touch the source, it's gone. you're surrounded by darkness.

The scent of rotten flesh becomes stronger than ever, flooding all of your senses. You cannot see, you can hardly breathe due to the horrid smell.
times passes
you want to claw your skin off
you writhe against the cold stone floor. it feels like its been days that you've been suffering through this spell, and you are tired. exhausted even. you don't want to give up, you've been fighting this disease for so long.
yet finally, you let your body go limp. you cannot fight this anymore.

THE BEGINNINGS

when you awaken, you are in another cavern. your vision is hazy and the room spins for a moment or two. this room is warmer, and better lit by small fires in each corner or the room. in front of you. wolves surround you... you lift your head, panting to catch your breath.
"welcome..." a voice begins, low and silky.
"welcome to the caves Of aspenway... how do you feel?"
this wolf you cannot see very well, hidden by a shelter of shadows.
you reply with nothing. You feel different. the pain you were overwhelmed with before passing out is gone, and you feel almost...powerful... you stand and the wolves around you focus their ears on you... watching you. some of them look normal..but some of them... Look like something out of a horror story.
you look around for an escape.
"No need to look for a way out. Only those who have sinned are drawn in by the light and sweet scent. first we must give you your options, before you are released
