The Leaders:

Every leader of this clan is born from the lineage of Pumpkin, the wolf who first started the clan. The marking of the leader is a white mask that shines across their face, a sign that the gods have blessed you. The leader and her heirs work together to lead the pack, and when the next heir's time comes, the surviving heirs will vote among each other to choose who will be next. 

The Leader's Mate:

The leader's mate, much like the leader, comes from the same descendant. Each mate to each heir comes from the lineage of Hamburger - this position is less romantic after the first generation (since Pumpkin and Hamburger are married), being raised as siblings, but is an honorary and necessary title nonetheless. 

The Traditions:

If you've noticed, every wolf has a name like food. This tradition starts young, as long ago evil creatures in the night would slink in and steal pups. By naming the puppies after foods, the creatures looked past them, looking for puppies and not food stores. While such evil creatures have not been an issue for many centuries, the tradition remains.
