Cometchasers

Mist swirls around you slowly as you step into an odd clearing. The air is cool and heavy here, thick with a silence only broken by the sounds of occasional whispers.
The churning quickens until the fog starts to condense and you can make out the faint outline of a wolf. Taken aback, you try to take a step backwards - but as you turn, you realize another has formed behind you. Its outline shifts, watching. The mist feels stifling as the hazy wolves surround you, stepping closer and closer. Your heart races, each beat loud in your ears as you search frantically for an escape route.

And then, a voice emerges from the mist.

"There is no need to fear, child. Welcome to Starfall Hollow, home of the Cometchasers. If you've no pack to call your own, allow me to show you ours. You may leave if you wish.. or stay, and discover a place to belong."

Unsure of what awaits, you give an apprehensive nod in return and follow the hazy wolves further into the fog.
