The Timeless Roses

"A long time ago, there was a little pup that lived in a valley between 2 tall mountains. This pup's name was Potentis. Potentis loved to play and explore, but she wasn't allowed beyond the valley. She begged her mom to let her go, but she never could. One day, there was a sound coming from the fields outside the small valley. She decided to venture out and—"
"Oh no! She's not meant to go there!" A little pup cried. "Now now Lemon, you mustn't interrupt." Ocean told her. "Now, where was I?" Another pup raised his paw. "Queen Potentis was about to leave the valley, miss!" He shouted. "Ah! Thank you, Finley. She decided to venture out and see what was making the noise. She stoped right before the borders, having second thoughts. Finally she willed her paws to move forward. The sound was incoming from the woods. She went farther and farther from her home and the noise abruptly stopped. Potentis decided that she should head home when she realized that she was lost!" The pups gasped. "Oh no!" They all cried at the same time. Ocean chuckled and continued, "She turned this way and that, just getting more confused with every turn. After a while, the sun was setting and Potentis was still lost. She eventually decided it was time to stop searching for the night and get some rest. She found a cave and as she was starting to doze off, she heard a howl in the distance."
"Is it another wolf?" Lemon asked. "I'm getting to it Lemon, dear. Potentis decided to follow the sound and as she was creeping through the bushes, she found…" Ocean paused for suspense. "Ugh! Miss, the suspense is killing me! What did she find?" A young pup asked. Ocean laughed softly and continued, "Another wolf!" Lemon jumped up. "I knew it! I knew it! I knew it!"Finley rolled his eyes, "We all knew it Lemon. I mean what else would it be?" She sat down, "It could be a frog." She said. Someone snickered. "Frogs don't howl!" He laughed. Ocean stood up. "Class, Don't be mean to Lemon. Maybe frogs do howl. Solis are you a frog?" He tilted his head, "I don't think so." He said. "Then how do you know that frogs don't howl? The world is full of surprises. Even silly ones, like howling frogs. Anyway back to the story, Potentis crept closer to the wolf. 'Hello?' She called. The other wolf turned around. 'Who are you?' He asked, 'I'm Potentis, what's your name?' She asked. 'I'm Sodalis,' he said it quietly and not as cheerful as Potentis said it. He circled around her and sniffed her." Somebody giggled. "'Why are you here?' He asked. So Potentis explained how she got there. And they became friends. He taught her how to hunt, and she taught him how to bathe." Someone giggled again. "He didn't know how to bathe?" They laughed. "No, he didn't" she chuckled. "Anyway, they were so happy, so happy in fact that when they got older, they got married!" The pups erupted with ewws. "And they started a pack. Actually, they were exploring one day and that's how they found me, and everybody else in our pack." After Ocean dismissed the class, a small pup came up to her. "Miss, how did queen Potentis come up with our packs name?" She asked. "Oh, good question Mini. Potentis was gathering herbs and things, when she noticed a beautiful rose out in the fields. She stopped for a moment then decided that her pack shouldn't care about time and things, for a withered rose is still beautiful on the inside, so the Timeless Roses were created, or as queen Potentis puts it, bloomed."

I would say "the end," but we all know it's not, for the Timeless Roses have many more stories and tales to be told.
