Glitchchat Pack
Storm became Alpha of his own pack by chance, A wolf with no name who left his parents watchful eyes as soon as he was able to leave, never looking back.
Wandering through the stormy night alone, Storm decided to find himself some shelter for the night and discovering a pack of young similarly wandering wolves taking shelter in a cave, Storm took refuge with them, Meeting Theros, the - initial - leader of the young group. When it became apparent the cave the pack were sheltering in was actually home to a large black bear that had now returned from their hunt, the group found themselves cornered and under attack. Seeing the fear in the other wolves eyes and knowing the only way out was a fight, Storm took charge, earning several deep scars but battling long enough for the others to make their escape.
As Theros waited out in the rain a little down the flooded trail, he heard the patter of paws as Storm eventually limped after them, narrowly escaping the tussle with his life. Theros and the others slowly nursed Storm back to health, giving him his new name as they did.
Luna was the daughter of a herbalist wolf who lived alone in the floodlands. She often wandered to pick herbs but always felt she was destined for more. When one day on her foraging routine she encountered Theros, messily ripping up healing plants she couldn't help but stop to help him. They spoke of the bear, of the long rain and the flooding land pushing them to higher ground. Luna stopped once Theros mentioned the bravery of Storm. Finding herself a little jealous of the wolves admiration of this so called 'Storm'. So much so she asked to meet him. With herbs gathered, Theros took Luna to meet Storm.
Luna used her knowledge and the gathered herbs to help nurse Storm back to health and the two developed a friendship. The two sending many nights awake and discussing anything and everything.
Once Storm was recovered enough to continue, the storm had long passed but the flooding pushed them further up towards the woodlands where Storm chose to remain, the rest of the young wolves carried on their journey, with the exception of Theros, who remained beside Storm, believing he owed a debt of his life and Theros had decided to pay it back in servitude as Storm's beta.
Storm and Theros lived together, sharing everything they hunted and found, but it soon became evident that they would need more wolves to establish a foothold in the woodlands and prosper. Luna was quick to join them, expressing her wish to join the pack and Storm took her as his equal and his Mate, their pups and the next generation born in the springtime to follow.
Krim preferred to be alone, hating being around others but hating the harshness of life alone more. Krim was skin and bone, preferring to pick plants and craft medicines to hunting. Luna found him one cold day in early winter when she was performing the arduous task of foraging herbs, she'd never enjoyed it herself and seeing that Krim so clearly did, she proposed a deal. Krim would enjoy the benefits of pack life whilst still remaining independent and in return he would take over the duties of pack herbalist and shaman. Krim wasn't enthusiastic and so took a little convincing. After a very rough winter he approached the pack in the beginnings of spring, stomach growling loudly and hunger in his eyes. Storm and Theros threw him the largest chunk of meat they had and with grunts and growls, Krim moved into the nearby den and took his place as Shaman of the pack.
Marsha was a quiet wolf, who like many others had taken to solitude over pack life, despite having many friends and connections. She knew she was a good hunter and could track prey for miles. However as the harshest winter set in, she found herself stumbling across the beginnings of a pack, struggling to make it through. Theros the biggest and fastest wolf was struggling to find prey, Krim the Shaman was struggling to find any sprouting plants and the Alpha Storm, seemed lost in his own mind, his confidence to lead a pack dwindling as the harsh snows and freezing floods made survival difficult. Marsha took pity on them. Showing Theros and Storm where to find good tracks and bringing along a friend of hers, Umbral, to help hunt. Her plan was to remain with them till spring, when things would be easier for the pack. But as spring arrived, Marsha and Umbral both found themselves unable to leave, not wanting to walk away from the family they had both found themselves a part of. As such, they both committed to stay, Marsha becoming the lead tracker and hunter. Umbral not fond of leadership was happy to follow along with the rest of the packs plans, his loyalty to Marsha and his trust in Theros makes him a great asset on hunting expeditions.
Shadow came to the pack with her apprentice Phantom. The pair were scouts, who loved nothing more that the feeling of freedom and exploring all that others couldn't, from the desert to the Glacier peaks the two were always side by side -to Phantom's minor dismay- and usually following their noses to their next adventure. The two joined the Glitchchat pack when their old friend Marsha came to them and spoke of her new home and new family, inviting the two to join. Shadow took this as a chance to step back, allowing Phantom some long needed freedom to explore on his own and she became able to relax, relying on her old friend Marsha to guide her into the more gentle life of a pack.
As time passed more wolves flocked to the pack. Storm gained his confidence and solidified his position as alpha of the Glitchchat pack with many hopeful generations of the pack to come.
