Deepstream Pack
Thyme and her sister, Basil, were born on a warm spring day... at least, that's what they thought. It was a day, certainly, a day like the rest. But what nobody knew, was that it was the most cold-hearted day that there would have been for a long time.
To start the day off, many packs had been driven out of their homes by coyotes. The heir of the packs were gone along with the prey. Basil and Thyme sat by their mother, who was laid on the ground, who was speechless, who had lost the will to live. The father wasn't much help either, as he had left the poor pups before they were born.
Thyme was hungry. Basil was as well. There was no prey.
Sunset after sunset, the two sat. They waited. Eventually, Basil fell, and never came back up, but she told her sister, "I will be there... waiting for you to see me over the sunset..."
The poor pup was left on her own. Her sister, her only source of love that was left, gone. So Thyme left, left flowers by her deceased family, left the plains that she was born in, but never left her spirit.
Days passed, food ran, eventually hunting was learned and done. Basil was 12 months. 12 months when she saw it. A wolf. He went by the name of Hati, and he was a beautiful black male. Together, the two found home, hunting, and even love.
To this day, Thyme's story is told throughout the pack. Even Basil, a wolf just younger than her, told the story to her pups. She will even start a tradition, "Don't be scared my pups, I will be waiting there... waiting for you to see me over the sunset..."
