Welcome to TOSKA!
A smokey colored female with piercing green eyes stares you down. Despite the intense gaze, nothing about her reads as hostile. "Welcome," Her voice is soft, "Let me tell you a tale..." Toska's lead wolf lowers her rump to the ground and as the moon reaches its highest point in the speckled night sky. Its pale rays coat the surrounding area, highlighting her. She smiles, revealing a toothy grin, "I want to tell you how Toska came to be..." The shewolf settles in, wrapping her tail around herself before indulging you.
Ogimaawi came across Noojitoon as she was seeking new territory to settle into. From day one, she was skeptical of him. but Noojitoon was eager to impress her. He lead their first hunting party, training in newly recruited females until an all female pack was established. From there. he gained Ogimaawi's trust, given the role of scout. He is the only male to have a role outside of pupsitting; patrolling the borders and seeking exploring unknown territory for Ogimaawi to later visit.
One night after her first litter with Noojitoon, Ogimaawi was struck with dreams of a new world beneath their feet. At first, she was convinced she was going mad since Noojitoon didn't experience the same thing. At least, until she spoke to one of the other females. Then she realized, only the shewolves of Toska had this unique connection. After Makadewaabate became a year old, she began to experience the same lunar-filled dreams.
Toska is a female dominant pack. Males rank lower than the lowest ranking females and pups. Despite this, males still play an important role, looking after the pups. Females, especially from the lead wolf's bloodline, are spiritually connected to the Dreamlands. Unrelated females take up the other roles of herbalist, hunting, and pupsitting as well.. Direct offspring of Ogimaawi showed signs of the connection shortly after becoming a year old. Unrelated females showed signs after reaching approximately two years old. From there, Ogimwaawi decided only females would lead the pack since this connection aids the leader in making decisions for the pack's best interest.
