Endymion and Selene: A love between a mortal man and a lunar Goddess. Selene pleaded with Zeus to make Endymion immortal so they could be together forever, which he did. However, while Zeus made him immortal, he put him into eternal slumber as well. Selene would visit his love every night, watching over him while he slumbered.
