Sinope Tribe

The Sinope tribe, a divergent tribe born from a once prospering pack. 

They were large in numbers, truly a formidable group— able to take down the greatest of beasts. However, as thriving as they were, a great illness spread among them. 

Those who fell victim to the contagion grew mad with blood lust. Many of which could not help themselves from consuming the flesh of fellow wolves.
The leaders of the pack? They turned their care away.
Maybe there were too many members and not enough food to go around?
Maybe they thought those with the infection couldn’t be saved.

Why they turned a tail when their pack needed them most, they could not say.

Valetude, a young male with a heart of chivalry, rallied his two childhood friends Solstice and Cassini, along with other diverging members to leave and live a better life, eventually making home in the woodlands.

Even though they found Solace in the woods, conflict between Valetude, Cassini, and Solstice was inevitable.
Valetude did his best to lead, however stress and frustration would overtake him.
Cassini, hungry for leadership, believed Val was not fit to lead, while Solstice was often looked down on— being seen as too childish.

Unexpectedly, the disease lay dormant in Valetude.. the added stress soon awakening it.
His mind went feral and his heart became a horror that even the most vicious beasts feared. 

He alone decimated his pack, crying out in anguish and ecstasy to a god whose name, unknown.. Valetude alone and suffering ran to a river, in which he passed out.

After a vivid dream with a promise of reprisal against the blight, he awoke.
There before him stood a wolf of white and silver.. eyes somber and grey like a powerful storm.
“Fate has brought you here on mysterious terms it seems, but here it brought you nonetheless. I am Metis. Daughter of Maeha, mother of the storm. Follow me.”
