Jagged Maw Pack

    Sköll wandered alone for many moons, once the herder of the sun now a mortal. He was picky about his company, he had been alone besides his brother for so long, until one day he met the gorgeous Skaði. She seemed his age, and she was sociable and strong. She was immediately attracted to the male, unbeknownst to her his godhood, and joined him in his journeys. They picked up others along the way. Nanna came first, a gentle creature who took care of their pups. Brynhildr, Frigga, Kára, Angrboða came next, strong she-wolves who bonded quickly to form a formidable hunting party under Skaði. Dabria and Othala found them, thanks to their swift legs and observant noses, proving to be talented scouts for their new Alpha. When Sköll fell ill, he happened upon wise Mist, whose skilled paws cured his ailments with herbs.

    Now a proper pack, the Jagged Maw journeyed northwards with the herds, and settled in the frostbitten Riparian Woodland for the winter ahead. Their first pups had been born in the spring, and were now adolescents, assisting Nanna and the other pupsitters with the latest litter of the season. Alpha Sköll set up a densite with his Queen Skaði, not far from a small lake. There were many deep dens, some under the roots of great trees, some in their bases, some dug into the stable earth, and Skaði and Sköll's in a crevice between rocks. The earth between is dense and shady, as the trees and overgrowth here are thick and provide shelter from the fierce snows.

    The pack is split by rank, for the terrible but unavoidable times when prey falls scarce. The Allworthy are Sköll's favorite packmembers, for the fallen god has no qualms about favoritism. Obviously, this group is led by his beloved Skaði, and includes her entire hunting party, the pack's best scouts, and the Herbalist. Usually, Sköll's children fall into this category as well as the pups of Skaði's party. Those who Sköll deems Warriors are usually male members unrelated to Sköll, but the offspring of females who are important in the core pack structure. Warriors can also be females who are obliged to defend their home and Alphas with their lives, keeping immediate threats away from the densite. Warriors are seen as incredibly useful to Sköll, and usually eat before civilians. The Commoners are normal members of the Jagged Maw. They don't really stand out in any particular light, but they are a part of the pack nonetheless. These wolves will eat last in times of shortage.
