Elegy Pack Hierarchy
Leader
the leader is in charge of all wolves in the pack, and assigns roles to adolescents.
Herbalist
the herbalist serves as the pack doctor and advisor to the leader - second in command
Hunters || Scouts
these two, though equal in the chain of command, are highly competitive, and often end up unofficially placing one role below the other.
Pupsitters
pupsitters often stay within the dengrounds of the territory whilst a litter's mother is busy with other tasks. despite being low in the pack hierarchy, they are often well respected by the mothers of the packs.
Adolescents
adolescent wolves are in the process of having their specialties chosen. while having more freedom than pups, they are still confined to a set area around the dengrounds, and are forbidden from entering the hunting grounds.
Pups
pups are the lowest in the pack due to inexperience and age. pups are not allowed to exit the dengrounds. no duties are expected of pups, and many pack members find joy in playing with them.
