Shadowmane Pack
You are making your way through the cold chilling mountains, with wind and freezing starting to nip at your fur. You long ago lost your way, perhaps maybe gone to far in your exploring? Either way, you close your eyes against the chilling bite of the wind as you keep pushing your way forward. The ground suddenly seems to start lowering down and you lose your grip against the muddy slopes and began sliding down. You yelp out in shock as you struggle to try and keep your footing against the mud but gravity continues pulling you down. It feels like you were falling forever when in reality it was only a minute. Suddenly you're hitting the ground and you lay there for a moment with heavy breathing and eyes closed, entirely coated in mud. A low angry growl forces you to open your eyes and scramble to get up. You find yourself facing a dark black female wolf, who looks you over before relaxing. You look around your surroundings noting you've made it to a forested part. "That was quite a long fall," she rumbles, and you both look up to where you previously were, "Im guessing you're new here and never traveled this far." She states and you gulp before nodding your head as the rain keeps pelting down and thunder roars overhead. The female sighs before turning around and starting to walk further into the forest, "Its nice to meet you traveler, I am Lagneand you've entered my packs territory. Follow me if you wish to be cleaned up and find shelter, or don't. Its up to you." She states. You begin to follow quickly after her, wincing slightly in pain. As you follow behind Sedna, you see she soon leads you to a large rocky cliff face, forcing her way through a hole within the rocks, you follow after her. Upon entering, you notice the wide spacious cavern is filled with other wolves, who seemed to watch you warily. You turn to Lagne looking for guidance, she chuckles as she states "Welcome to Shadowmane."
The Shadowmane Pack was founded by the beautiful dark, if a bit too aggressive female wolf named Lagne
Under her rule the pack has had a strict order of things, which may seem a bit harsh but as Lagne once stated "If one is to survive in this harsh forested mountain, they must be harsh in return"
One thing particular about this pack is you will never find a lead wolf being a male, in fact in this pack functions much like hyenas, minus the breeding male or on the rare occasion the lead wolf's mate- you are at the bottom of the food chain.
That's not to say males are treated harshly, in fact they are vital to the pack as they serve as hunters and pupsitters though sometimes a female will take on this role but it's not very often, you might notice some wolves, mostly leaders have certain titles, titles are giving to a wolf when they do something deserving, Lagne has killed many bears on her own, earning her the title "Slayer Of Bears" When a wolf is giving a title, they are to forever be remembered as a hero.
