Deep in the Deciduous Forest, a young female wolf by the name Sakura found an area of trees full of holes in the trunks. This place will be perfect to start my pack, Sakura thought to herself as she continued to explore the area around her. As she roamed around, Sakura noticed a young red, white, and black wolf, with olive eyes relaxing in the sunniest spot near the place she claimed as her territory.
The other wolf lifted up it's head in confusion as it sensed Sakura's presence, "who are you?" the red wolf asked in a deep but friendly voice. Sakura stopped in her tracks and looked proudly up at him, shaking her head and clearing her throat she said "I am Sakura, and I claimed this territory as my own. Who are you?" Sakura's voice never quivered, as she watched the red male's wolf eyes narrow ever so slightly. He just shook his head, and slowly stretched and stood up. "This territory belonged to my old pack, I am the last member of it. So in other terms you are on 'my' territory." He said as his muzzle was inches from Sakura's.
Sakura just moved her head slightly out to her left, her blue eyes stern still looking at him. "If you are the last one of your pack, you truly do not have a pack anymore." Sakura said, still holding her ground. The red male just shook his head, his olive eyes looking straight into Sakura's blue eyes. "That is not how that works, this is still my territory. However I was not the next Alpha." He admitted that as he started walking past her.
"We could form a pack together." Sakura said in a kind voice, the male wolf stopped walking and looked at Sakura with confusion in his eyes. "I used to be an omega of my pack, one of the weak ones. How can I be good in any pack." He said as he turned away from her, his voice sounded very lost as he said that. Sakura slowly started following him, "Well look at you, you managed to be the last survivor of your pack. This means you are not the weakest one, like you thought you were." Sakura said as she was finally right beside him, the male stopped walking and he looked deep in thought.
"So you think I am strong for being the last survivor of my pack?" The male said turning his head towards Sakura, Sakura just nodded her head as she sat down and scratched her right ear. "How on earth does that make me strong?" He asked, sitting down a foot away from Sakura, he started scratching his back. "Well you are the last one from your pack, which means that whatever caused your pack to die or disappear you were the strongest of them. That you managed to stay here in your old territory." Sakura said her tail went up and back down as she watched him, looking so confused but also thinking about what Sakura said.
"I see what you are saying, but I am way too used to being called weak from my old packmates that I am just too used to that." He said, lowering his head, his eyes looked so sulken as he said this. "Well you proved them so very wrong, you're here while they're not." Sakura said as she stood up and walked over to him, and sat down next to him. "What is your name?" Sakura asked as she gently licked his ear, in a very friendly way. "My name is Ryuu, you said your name was Sakura correct?" Ryuu asked as he licked her ear as well. "Yes, my name is Sakura." she said as she sat slightly closer to him. Ryuu caught onto Sakura's body language, he smiled and layed down. Sakura copied him as she laid down next to him, Sakura began to clean herself.
"Are you sure you want to form a pack with me?" Ryuu asked Sakura as he laid his head onto her shoulders. "Yes I am sure." Sakura said as she laid her head down on the ground and curled up in a ball. "Are you going to be the Alpha of the pack?" Ryuu asked as they laid there together, the sun began to set. "Yeah, you can be the beta. Not unless you want a different place in the pack." Sakura said as she slowly began to fall asleep. "I would like to be what my brother was, which was a breeding male." Ryuu said as he as well drifted off to sleep.
