Aengus and Tailtiu journeyed together on their adolescent spirit quest, where their reactive natures summoned their dragon partners.
Chased by their elders due to their forbidden romance, Tine (Tailtiu's fire dragon partner) and Uisce (Aengus's water dragon partner) sought refuge with Tailtiu and Aengus, returning with them to the pack.
When asked, Tine and Uisce proclaimed they made this choice due to the natures of their partners. Tine, because Tailtiu had the fire and passion to lead. Uisce, because Aengus had the compassion and kindness to nurture any in need.
Upon hearing these proclamations, the elders declared Tailtiu the alpha heir, and Aengus her Beta mate
