Dene Pack
Nestled on a triangle plateau bordered by two rivers and a mountain range lays the Dene Forest. Ancient, unmoving, but always changing. Evidence of human industry and long forgotten mines mark the landscape, creating scowles from which incredibly old oak trees grow. Here, in the scowles, lives the Dene Pack.
In the days before wolves, the humans had a law:
"All persons born or hereafter to be born and abiding within the said Hundred of St Briavels, of the age of twenty one years and upwards, who shall have worked a year and a day in a coal or iron mine within the said Hundred of St Briavels, shall be deemed and taken to be Freeminers."
Today, the wolves uphold this law. Instead of coal or iron, they work for food, for herbs and for pack security. The wolves here name themselves from remnants and memories. Place names, landmarks, features, abandoned and forgotten by those that came before.
Each wolf I intend to keep within the pack has a little lore on their page, to be expanded with events that unfold in gameplay.
All wolves are named after real places and real things from the Forest of Dean, UK, if you want to know why I chose each name or where it is from feel free to ask!
