Ocean Breeze Pack

As you enter a deep valley in the forest, you are stopped by a couple wolves who eye you suspiciously and refer to themselves as "warriors". They offer to take you to their Alpha who introduces himself as Jagged Jade.
"Welcome to Ocean Breeze Pack, named after a saltwater stream, that ran through our old valley in the desert. We are wary but friendly and you are welcome to stay if you so wish as long as you are mindful of our hierarchy. Our pack members are named after what we see, hear, or feel, unless they are from other lands and chose to keep their rogue name."

Omega

Alpha is voted on by the pack with rank taken into consideration. Technically a wolf of any rank and gender may be voted as the head Alpha. Pups of new Alpha will stay current rank but mate of new Alpha will become an Alpha. Other than that no ranks change among the Pack and all Alphas work together on decisions with head Alpha as spokesperson. New head Beta/Delta/Theta is chosen from the adult Lessers by the Alphas when they are too old, leave, or die. Warriors are assigned by the Alphas when they see fit.

Members are allowed to pick their job no matter the rank however higher-ranking individuals have priority, often Omegas are chosen as pupsitters. However, an omega healer is common and treated very well. All other omegas are looked down upon and scrutinized.

Rank is based on breeding / Hierarchy / Alpha's choice. Wolves who have well-renowned ancestors or ancestors who have been in the pack a long time probably have good ranking, though not always. Wolves who join the pack as wanderers or who have ancestors with nothing to note are often low ranking. Though again, not always.
