Wandering through the thick, shadowed underbrush of the forest in light but rapid steps, it always feels like there are eyes on you here. Breaths come in short and heaving spurts as your gentle jog turns into a sprint, this place scares you and you don’t know why but your instincts scream at you to get out of this dark place. As you run, your paw catches on a thicket of thron bushes, tripping you and sending you sprawling down the side of a hill. You lay there for some time before you hear a gentle voice speaking to you with such a soft and kind tone that you immedietely trust the speaker despite knowing that you are now in someone else’s territory. “Be still, friend. You shall not find any harm here.”, the speaker is a female wolf, a pack leader from what you can tell. Her bright orange eyes are soft and warm in contrast to her silverish blue fur and the dark black markings outlining her slender face. A golden male wolf stands beside her, her mate from how close he stands, his red half mask and grey eyebrows making his gorgeous blue eyes shine. You try to speak only to be hushed by the female Alpha, her graceful paws carrying her towards you. “Be not afraid of my family nor my territory, we may seem imtimidating but we are kind souls. My name is Acasa and I am the leader of Terenuri Umbrite, this is my mate Umbre”, the two helped you limp into their small den, the other members of their small pack stopping to stare for a moment or two before going back to their duties. The herbalist, Umbra, patches up your injuried paw with kind and gentle licks while a jumble of puppies flow over your back and ask question after question of you. You feel at home here, watching the pupsitter nurse her litter in one corner of the room and the herbalist sorting out her herbs. Maybe the darkest part of the woods wasn’t so dark after all
