For 8 long winter seasons Angel the ForestClan's previous leader had died in a early sun rise.. the pack mourned of the loss of their beloved leader. Before they buried her beside of her late mate, Firestar, a new she'wolf appeared named Mapleshade.

She wanted to join her great aunts pack ofter hearing the stories of her kindness and defending her packs against vicious predators and rivals, but only to learn and discover she had arrived a day too late...

Mapleshade helped with the burial and moved the necklace off Angle's neck it glowed a bright blue light when the new she-wolf touched it, the pack looked at Mapleshade and bowed to their new alpha, all Mapleshade wanted is to learn the ways of her great aunt's pack and now she's the new alpha?
